    Quote of the Day

"I think maybe they play their football on the second floor, so we must try to play the game on the first floor."

Steaua Bucharest manager Oleg Protasov casts a slight towards Shelbourne’s style of play ahead of next week’s Champions League encounter.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

No your right Jorge, we'd be better off playing a load of kids, and having one class player and rely on him, some alright football, but bottom of the league stuff, I know what I'd prefer...

    Quote of today maybe

But Heary is unimpressed by the Ukrainian’s stance. He said: “Last year, the manager of Hajduk Split said the exact same thing and we rammed it down his throat.

    Well played Shels

Tough draw to get Steau. They looked good at times. I suppose thats the downside of being Champions and playing better teams. Best of luck in the second leg. A tall order it seems but you never know. Once again ye put up a fine performance to represent our league. Ollie Cahill played very well and ye are lucky to have him.

To be fair ... Shels could have won the thing if they played the way they can. If the return leg see's all the players fit and ready for action, all guns a blazin' then there is no reason they cant take something out of it.

Agree on both points, our lack of ambition cost us a win today, we need to do ourselves justice in the away leg.

Ollie's muck they can keep him, shels played poorly, and they made steaua look good.
    Disappointing
