If you believe he is really 14.....the kid looks a damn sight older than 14/15 and I would wager that he is already 18. It's a common trick in baseball and I have no doubt it happens in football as well.Originally Posted by strangeirish

Did you ever notice that in every painting of Adam & Eve, they have belly buttons. Think about that...take as long as you want.

Right now he is 16, but like you said, it would not be a shock if he is older than they say he is.Originally Posted by Fergie's Son

Actually he is 16. And it's been researched in the US and Ghana and nothing has be found to be otherwise. If anything, he would have more to gain if he said he was older than he is.Originally Posted by Fergie's Son
Either way, he is not doing too badly as it is with $500K a year and a few more bucks from Nike.
"Jacques Santini...will be greeted in every dugout of the country by "one-nil, one-nil" - Clive Tyldsley, 89th minute of France-England June 13, 2004.

He is good for a kid of 16 but how was he ever allowed to sign a professional football contract at 14?beggars belief![]()
No way he would have had such a high profile if he'd broken into a team at 17/18 like most players.Had to be a marketing ploy all the way.
"All I have in this world is my balls and my word, and I don't break em for noone"
When players are known about for a while it's too easy to forget how young they actually are. A couple more years in america could serve him better that 3 or 4 years in the reserves in england.
Inter Milan apparently offered $750k for him a few years ago (according to MTV's fake ID club)
Thats true, also Man Utd and Chelsea were interested in him. But his mother wanted to keep him at home so MLS signed him up. Probably a wise decision considering his age.Originally Posted by dr_peepee

Actually he would not. If he is considerd "underaged" then he has a few more years to develop and improve his game. He could then get a massive contract as a 22 year old rather than as a 24/25 year old. It's very common in baseball. Moreover, an investigation in Ghana doesn't mean much. He did not have a Ghanian birth certificated until about 2 years ago so I am highly dubious about his real age.Originally Posted by Metrostars

I'd doubt Mom was too concerned about keeping him home considering they're from Ghana.
