Fan ownership is not an entirely unknown concept here (Bohs, SR), but this brings the phenomenon to a new level, and this is something that EL clubs and supporters could tap into.
Note also that supporters' reps are getting a say in the running of the FA. What's the position on that in the FAI?
I think thats is mainly a reaction to huge wages been paid to players now & vast majority of costs go on players wages. Probably also has to do with behaviour of the "stars" too.
I don't know if fans would be so against the really great players getting big wages but some very average players get 20-30k a week in the EPL, thats over £1million a year.
