Anyone watch Frontline Football on BBC2 on Monday nights? I saw the three programmes. The first was Bosnia V Serbia Montenegro, the second was Iraq V Palestine and last Monday night it was Venezuela V Colombia. Everything to do with highly charged football matches and a very interesting programme. Other clashes worth mentioning if they wanted to pursue the programme further would be Turkey V Greece, DRC V Uganda, Japan V North Korea, Ukraine V Georgia, Russia V Latvia and Brazil V Argentina.

Great series - Venezuala/Colombia programme was good also.
I saw one episode, the Congo were playing South Africa. Great series, amazing to think that such a ramshackle team with lads legging it away in France are actually in with a shout of qualifying for Germany.

I watched all of the seies! The Congo one was the best by far!
I saw the episodes about Bosnia-Serbia and Columbia-Venezuela.
Brillant programmes, hope they repeat them again some time.
Shame they only made four of them.
Don't forget other huge rivalries !
China-Hong Kong
India-Pakistan
China-Taiwan
Sweden-Denmark
Albania-Serbia/Montenegro
Croatia-Serbia/Montenegro
oh, and maybe add Jersey-Guernsey![]()
Not sure there is much of a football rivalry there. In Euro 2004 they both engineered a 2-2 draw which meant they both went through.Originally Posted by Gerrit

I am a Scandinavia adept for many years and follow football there with very big interest (Rosenborg, remember). Believe me, Sweden and Denmark is the biggest rivalry in the Northern countries. Sure, Norway and Finland are also a bit rivals, but that's friendly rivalry. Sweden and Denmark, that's like Man U playing Liverpool or like Cel-tic playing Rangers. Sweden and Denmark are arch rivals, with the one difference the riots are only verbal, they won't beat each other after the game. Hooliganism is low in Scandinavia. But they do dislike each other a lot ; if you read the history of both countries you'll see why, plus the fact that they're close neighbours ; Copenhagen and Malmo are less than 10 miles away from each other, only seperated by a small sea channel with a bridge over it.
