Was ineffective in the first half but saying that he wasn't the only one with Burnley's other winger Benson also up to nothing.

No surprise Cork was brought one but felt it was a bit harsh Costello was the one taken off with Benson as ineffective if not more plus Costello was moved from the right side to the left tonight to accommodate Benson.

He was poor tonight, didn't have any positive influence on the game at all. When I saw the sub board going up at the start of the second half you knew it was going to be him going off even before the number flashed up.

Great for him to get the few games at his age but from what I've seen of him he's not ready for that level yet. Wouldn't be surprised if he found himself out on loan by the end of the month with all the signings Burnley are making at the moment. Mightn't be the worst thing for him either.

Not in match day squad today, hopefully arranging a loan move which he needs IMO

This is a great move for him. Bradford have 22 L2 games left. He'll be playing in a team who are expected to win week in week out at a decent standard with high pressure games. Hopefully he can get in the team right away and bang in some goals.

Looks like Burnley are going to be a premier league team next season. So odds are DC will be looking for another loan move next season. If he can produce some decent stats down the stretch he might have a case for Championship level.

Doesn’t appear to be having the best of loan spells. Missed a couple of sitters today according to reports. That said, encouraging that he is getting continually picked by Hughes, who should know a thing or two about strikers. Tough gig for him and Kavanagh on loan at Newport at the minute - hopefully transpires as a “Character Building” chapter of their careers…

Kavanagh scored today, but it's only the second goal of his loan spell at Newport. He's only started four games, and hasn't completed 90 minutes yet. On the other hand, he's only been an unused sub once, in the first game after his move. I was still a little surprised that he wasn't called into the U21 squad.

So he did! Totally missed that. That’s great news. To be fair, probably an idea to give them a bit of protection at that age. Was always more physical down in that league. See O’Connor can’t even make the Tranmere team and Lewis Richards hardly had a sniff at Harrogate before his injury. Concerning comments about Costelloe’s attitude, although equally wary of the moronic attitude of some of the boo boys at these bolthole clubs.

Lee O'Connor has started 30 of the 34 League games this season for Tranmere and only not been in three match day squads.

Still young, but maybe another Irish forward who does a lot of good things on the pitch, but doesn't score? Interesting and detailed analysis of his time at EFL2 Bradford in the Courier article (link below). Hopefully, the lad can progress and score the odd goal at St Johnstone.

He sounds like a confident lad from those bits on that website.

It was announced over a week ago on the 15th, so not really out of the blue if you're paying attention

Joins Accrington Stanley on loan. Plenty of gametime so far, but only one goal to show for those 64 games (including his spell with Galway). Not 22 until December so not exactly write-off territory yet, but you'd be hoping he can make more of an impact this season

Didn't do much of note in Scotland. Slightly surprised he got a football league loan, but then Accrington were down near the bottom of League 2 last season. Probably the last chance saloon for him in Britain now.

Definitely last chance saloon for the 21 year old with over 60 senior appearances under his belt.

Appearances are only of use if the player is actually doing something of note in them. Do you think he'll have a queue of English league clubs lining up for him if he doesn't do well at Accrington?

He played 28 games in the Scottish Premiership last season. If it went as badly as you're suggesting, he wouldn't have played at all.

In fairness spl to league 2 seems a bit of a step backwards.
