Result from today: Wexford 3, Bohemians 2. Wexford coasting at half-time with a 3-1 lead but Bohs played really well in the second half, got a goal back and had a chance to level with an indirect free-kick from inside the Wexford area with a few minutes to go. Best for Wexford were the goal-scorers, Alessia Mazzola (1) and Mia Lenihan (2), with Seren Ward, Emma Walker and particularly Aoife Mohan also impressing.

Result from yesterday: Wexford 1, Peamount 1. Two unbeaten teams going into the game and they remain unbeaten. Close game but Peamount slightly shaded it overall. Wexford's equaliser came from Jess Lawler who deserves great credit as she was struggling with some injury in the first half and signalled to the Wexford bench before half-time that she needed to come off but then managed to play the ninety. Best for Wexford otherwise were the full-backs of Seren Ward and Danielle Griffin who let very little come down their wings while Aoife Mohan showed good skill in the middle of the park for Wexford. Peamount's centre-forward looked best for them while there were two good keepers on show with Summer Lawless and Claudia Keenan.

Result from today: Wexford 6, Cork 1, with Wexford finishing up top of their qualification group as a result. Perhaps the best display I've seen from a women's U19 team against a Cork side which was better than the scoreline suggests particularly going forward. Best for Wexford were the front four of Zoe Katus, Jess Lawler, Mia Lenihan and Emma Walker who all got on the scoresheet with the goals from Lawler and Katus being of top quality. A team to watch once the next stage of the U19 league commences.

EA Sports Cup semi-final between WYW U19 and Peamount abandoned almost at half-time of extratime due to floodlight failure. 1-1 at that stage with Molly Garland getting the goal for Wexford. Cracking game up till then and not sure what happens to the tie as a result of the floodlight failure. A replay?

Result from today in EA Sports Cup Quarter-Final: Wexford Youths Women U19 1, CK United 0. More comfortable than the result suggests as Nicole Nix in the Wexford goal didn't have a save to make. Goal was scored by Mia Lenihan and best for Wexford were Freya De Mange and Emma Walker and, particularly, Michaela Lawrence before she was substituted relatively early in the second half.

Result from today: Wexford Youths Women U19 5, Shelbourne 2. Good performance by the home side particularly in the first half. A brace of goals each by Aine Walsh and Michaela Lawrence with the other goal coming from Rita Redmond on the Wexford side. Most impressive for Wexford were the two goalscorers with two goals each with Michaela Lawrence, in particular, putting in a remarkable shift considering she had played less than 24 hours previously up in Sligo.

Horrific conditions in Ferrycarrig this afternoon resulted in the abandonment at half-time of the top-of-the-table clash between WYW U19 and Shamrock Rovers Women U19. Only one chance of note for either side in the tough conditions - a Shamrock Rovers shot was trickling into the Wexford goal until it was held up by the goal-line puddle. For Wexford, Aine Walsh had a decent chance but could only hit the side netting. On the second pitch, the game between Wexford Men's U19 and Cork was similarly abandoned at half-time with Cork leading 4-0 at the break.

Result from today: Wexford FC 3, Treaty 2. Good game in which two excellent free-kicks by the Treaty centre-forward almost nullified Wexford's general dominance of the game. Wexford started with Keenan, Tyrrell, Nolan, Fitzpatrick, Ryan, Healy, Walker, McGrath, O'Connell, Lawler and Roche. Played on Wexford's second pitch, Wexford started the brighter and Leah McGrath had two early headed chances and the excellent Treaty keeper tipped a Wexford free over her own crossbar for a corner. A rare Treaty play in the Wexford half ended up in a Treaty free and this dipped just under the Wexford crossbar but fairly centrally to put Treaty ahead. Wexford's Jess Lawler had a chipped shot just over the Treaty crossbar and a Wexford claim for a peno was awarded as a free out. Treaty a goal to the good at half-time but Wexford having been the stronger.

Wexford became even more dominant at the start of the second half and it wasn't long before Wexford's Leah McGrath equalised when she beat the last Treaty defender and hammered home on the half-volley. On twelve minutes, a far-post header was finished by Wexford's Jess Lawler to put the home side 2-1 in front. However, just after midway through the half, Treaty levelled again with a peach of a free which was taken just beyond the corner of the Wexford area and was rifled home into the top far corner of Wexford's net. 2-2 at this stage. Game then really opened up but Leah McGrath got her second when she knocked home a rebound from a free by Wexford's Ella Nolan. Treaty had two late chances to secure a draw, but one was hit wide and another drew a good save by Claudia Keenan in the Wexford goal when outside her penalty area. 3-2 to Wexford at full-time. Best for Wexford were McGrath, Ryan, O'Connell and Roche.

Result from today: Wexford 2, Waterford 1. Three red cards at the end, although at least one of Waterford's two red cards looked harsh. Wexford's two goals came from Leah McGrath.

Played on CBS Wexford's new astro pitch, which is the first time I've seen it. Looks a good surface although lack of dugouts, probably due to lack of space, is an issue.
