Wexford will probably be happy enough with the point tonight as, in a match of few chances, Hunty was the busier of the two goalkeepers and Wexford survived a major shock in the second minute of injury time when a Bray shot bobbled along the ground, hit the inside of the Wexford post and seemed almost to defy the laws of physics to stay out. With Crowley, Doherty, Dobbs and O’Sullivan all missing, Wexford’s squad is beginning to creak a bit. Wexford started with Hunty, Paul, Lorcan, Joe, Frieler, Conor B, Jordon, Harry, Adam and with Dinny and Conor D up front. There weren’t many chances in the first half as both sides went long fairly often with Hugh Douglas mopping up everything aerially for Bray and Joe Manley and Paul Cleary doing the same for Wexford. On 22 minutes, Conor Davis had a free on target for Wexford but McGuinness in the Bray goal got down comfortably. Bray then had a good spell with Hunty reacting well to save at his near post and then rushing out from his goal to prevent a Bray break. 0-0 at half-time.
