Cobhs home attendances strike out for me. What on earth are they doing thats its an increase of 5 times of last season. Any one any inside info on this?
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Of course this would be one of the few times Cork away fans would show up in Cobh's stats, but that would still only account for a maximum of two games.

Galway and Waterford might bring in a decent crowd of away fans aswell ,added to the first couple of games which might have a few extra aswell…

The rest of their attendances are sitting steady between 600-800 as well, which is still a marked improvement.

I think there's a bit of a buzz around Cobh football at the moment as well - weren't all the various strands in the town involved in that new facility there? That might have played a part in healing old wounds and generating goodwill? It's not driven by results anyway.

Cobh have obviously had a noticeable lift via their fixtures to date with Cork City. A gate of 4,000 will have a noticeable impact on your average if it is otherwise only 6-800. Plus there have been a few times when Cobh have been playing at home and Cork haven't - either because of the 9 team situation in the FD, or different nights of the week being used. So that may have drawn a few Cork heads to watch Cobh to get their fix.

It is also Cobh's centenary year, so the club presumably has a higher profile locally off the back of that. Which may be a big part of the answer ?

Well I'll be..................4,365 on a Monday night, I suppose it was a derby and Shams are top and probably had over 1 to 2,000+ away support, makes sense.

Great to see, hope it continues.

1,100 tickets given to them, not sure if they sold them all, they hadn't up to about 6 o'clock on the day

Some great off the field work been done by the club the past few years which is coming to fruition even if on the field is garbage,
    Here on a technicality.

That’s a really super attendance for a Monday night, it’s great to see for the league as a whole, regardless of individual allegiances.

Over 4k at a game on a Monday. That's the lure of the champions I guess.

There's a good interview with Cobh chairman Bill O'Leary on Between the Stripes LOI podcast this week covering a lot of what the club has done to improve attendances. As someone pointed out above, the Cobh 4 football project where numerous groups came together to fund a new astro facility has really helped healed old wounds. Moving games to Friday night has helped as well as locals have less distractions than they would on weekends.

If new manager Shane Keegan can get some momentum in the team and results in the fixtures over the few weeks, that show some form of improvement, then the home FAI Cup fixture against Cork City in August should attract another healthy attendance of 4000+

2,115 the official figure for Pats v Drogs. Lowest crowd of the season (500 lower than UCD at home on a Monday night earlier in the season). The weather probably the biggest factor in that. Haven’t got a soaking in Richmond as good as I did in that second half in a good few years

A night like that really shows how much Richmond is not fit for purpose anymore , as much as we all love the place

Haven't the official figure yet, but was just under 1,000 in Finn Park. Seemed to be issues with scanners not scanning tickets properly again.

Still a decent attendance, even if the results for Pats have not been great. I think any club who can maintain over 2000+ average playing mid-table is great. Well done St. Pats!

Seen Extratime.ie report gave an attendance of 100 at Cobh Ramblers 0 Treaty United 2 last night, I would say a few more, closer to 250 with about 20/25 away fans mainly in the seated stand.

Very Surprised at that attendance tbrh.
Thought Keegan landing there would put a couple of hundred on the gate.

I know it was raining so more people squeezed in under cover but that 2241 is out if kilter in what Id have thought again. Its a solid attendance for UCD and time of the year and in the rain.
