We do like to jump on indiscretions by rival LoI crowds with lots of finger pointing but there has been damn all on the chants here that I can see. It hasnt seemed to register too much and its been the media that's doing the shouting. Rovers statement was a just in case pre-emptive damage limitation job and if their statement hadnt gone out Id not have known anything about it.

Low brow stuff probably but Im sure we have all heard a whole lot worse. 'What's it like to have a king' just doesnt have the same ring to it somehow...

I'd be intrigued to see how that would stick, given that the British royal family are expressly non-political

Nonsense from the Daily Mail, and I can't see UEFA having any genuine interest in it - as again, I don't see what rule it would credibly be deemed to have broken.

I doubt there's been a more viral thing that's happened in the LOI.

Nobody going to the Markets Field these times despite good run of form. Limerick has to be brought back in to the name.

I just really wish it was our fault that the premier league shut down for the weekend. That'd be swell. Unfortunately it's all just performative outrage. But it's nice to outrage the people performing.

The Rovers statement was a genuine apology for the crass stupidity of handful of morons…. Sometimes the right thing needs to be done and we did it…. As you say it was low brow stuff but still glad we live in a republic as against a constitutional monarchy that grants mega riches on individuals purely by accident of birth … interesting fact is that only the Vatican state has a larger collection of art work that the British Royal family

Also at start of the second half of the Zurich/Arsenal match last Thurs they held a minute silence and booing was clearly audible ( not sure from which set of fans )

The "United Kingdom" and Vatican must be the only States in Europe where the Head of State must be of a particular Religion!

Not strictly true. The only restrictions on ths British monarch is that they can't be a catholic. Though as they're head of the Church of England then it would be pretty strange if they were an active member of any other faith group.

"The Act of Succession of 1810 provides the rules governing the line of succession and designates the legitimate heirs to the Swedish Throne; it also states in article 4 that the Monarch and dynastic members of the Royal House must at all times be a Protestant Christian of the pure evangelical faith (by implication the Church of Sweden)."

Any attendance figure from the coronation ceremony this week? Can't imagine many away fans were permitted.
https://kesslereffect.bandcamp.com/album/kepler - New music. It's not that bad.

Galway have said away tickets are sold out. Assume something in the range of 500. Clearly we could bring more, and I'd imagine people will be looking for tickets for the rest of the week.

Looks midweek with early KO so not too hopeful, although no PL games on a distraction so that might help.

With such things, usually standard practice to wait for the next home game, I'd have thought.

Ah right, makes sense. I remember Rovers winning the league out in Bray, UCD and the first division down in Cobh - but they were all last matches I think.

Rough etimate of 3.2k at the Brandywell tonight.
Certainly didn't sell out, which is being a rarity this season.

Down on the last one I heard. I blame the FAI and RTE for a lack of promotion on this.

    Definitely looked about that.

Considering it was on a champions league night and Sligo brought very few fans (unlike them) it was a healthy attendance.
