Had that estimated as 1,300 so I'll call that a calculated guess. Thanks Terry.

I'm not sure but with small number in their stand that side, and standing in between that and away end Dundalk have got close to or 1k tickets in recent games. The actual shed corner probably holds 700-800.

Having been at the game it seemed like there were a few more than that at it, was surprised at the attendance being announced as so low.

I've just come across a site that has average attendances for each tier of English football - it's kind of interesting to see where LoI matches up...

    https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/n...ue/attendances

This is the Conference/National League and there is a massive difference between the "haves" and "have nots"

Wrexham who are currently top on GD have the highest average attendance of over 8.5k while Stockport who look like they'll go up as Champions are next highest with just under 7k of an average. Traditional football league clubs, Notts County, Chesterfield, Grimsby and Southend are all in or around the 6k mark, of these only Southend haven't been pushing for playoffs.

There is then a massive drop from 6th placed Grimsby to 7th placed Woking in terms of attendances - Grimsby's is more than double that of Woking. There are then 13 clubs with an average between 2,600 and 1,400 with the remaining 4 clubs 3 of which are being relegated having crowds around the 1k mark.

The tier below that the average attendance in the National League North is about 1,200 - boosted by large attendance figures at York City and Kidderminster Harriers while NL South is just about 1k - Dulwich Hamlet pushing close to 3k despite being mid-table - aren't they that hipster club that make Bohs look fairly mainstream!

Going up the way League 2's average attendance is about 5k - Bradford maintain an incredible support despite being mid-table. Averaging over 15k per game and a lot of the clubs with the smallest averages are ones that have been promoted from non-league over the last 20 years or so, presumably on the back of wealthy owners - Salford City have the smallest average just over 2k, but clubs like Barrow, Stevenage, Sutton, Harrogate and Crawley all have below par averages while the Champions Forest Green Rovers had the 4th smallest average attendance at just over 2.5k
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"

More tickets became available online yesterday afternoon, and don't think they sold out. If they didn't, that's the first game this season that hasn't sold out. Suppose it's a Monday night, so it's always going to be less popular, but if those spare tickets were released a day earlier, you'd imagine they would have sold out.
Have you ever won the treble?

The Non-League attendances are fairly understandable, and follow an obvious pattern where former League clubs get bigger crowds than those which haven't been at that level previously. Wrexham's crowds also having been inflated a lot recently due to celebrity owners. Dulwich being the exception as a hipster club, but that only began just over a decade ago, Before that they were getting very ordinary attendances. It does show what can be done to attract a crowd though if the positioning of a club is done right within the local community.

I didn't know more went on sale online on Monday, I'm guessing it was because Pat's only had about 60 fans up (understandable on a Monday) and the rest then went on sale.

Less than a 1,000 tickets left for our match tomorrow - so hopefully another sell-out despite being live free to air on RTE

Its a real pity that new main stand was only half finished, a club like Derry always required more capacity than that. Great all the same to see sold out signs every week though.

Absolutely savage seeing these big games sell out mid season. In years gone by it'd only be big derby games or league deciders where this would be realistic.

Perfect game to have on tv. Hopefully we get some quality on the pitch to match the occasion.
