Yeah I've always found it amazing how many fans can be crammed into Richmond!

All four sides can be used unlike the stadiums you mentioned. Plus terraces can hold a lot of people, think it's 1000 the Shed End can hold.

Honest Q for Pats fans, has your crowds significantly increased since the cup final win (if so, this is great), and this is not a dig, its just I always saw Pats (possibly I was wrong) as the 4th best supported club in the city when all were in the PD, but the crowds this year seem to be 3k or so on avg this season, possibly more?

Pre covid I thought avg crowds were less than 2k, again open to correction on part any of my post.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).

Our crowds have been improving since they reached a nadir in the 2016 season, weirdly the relegation battle in 2017 reinvigorated our fanbase somewhat plus the excellent work done by our Community team was leading to crowd figures rising the last few years. But it's certainly increased even more this season and they've been fantastic so far. I would have always said that we were the 3rd highest attendance in Dublin ahead of Shels.

I'd say it's a combination of the cup final, then general increase in LOI interest in Dublin and the largely unsung community work that has been done by Dave Morrissey. Think Conan Byrne said towards the end of last season that he's never seen so many kids at a ground as Richmond for certain games, whether that's exactly true or not who knows but it's definitely aided the attendances all the same.

Especially given it's a very confined site with, what, only two entrances and exits ? If people need to get out of that ground in a hurry, it could end messily.

But how do they get out quickly in the event of a fire etc ?

In terms of getting out of the ground there’s the away exit under the archway, the home turnstiles, the players exit and also if all of those were blocked in an emergency or whatever then there’s also access to street level through both the club office and McDowells. It’s similar to say, Oriel, Dalymount, Tolka, United Park off the top of my head in terms of access to exits but yeah ideally all of them including Richmond would have better exits.

Finn Park looked to nearly at capacity on Saturday. Guesstimate would be 3500.

Officially just under 3,000. Was some decent sized gaps in the town end terrace as well.

1,519 at Edp Saturday with no away fans. Ko was too early and maybe we shouldn’t have changed from Friday but that’s for another day.

Probably but then you look at clubs like Drogs, Dundalk, Pats etc who have little to no scope to develop facilities. We've one of the best grounds in the country with pitches out the back for underage with incredible scope for further development, we've a huge car park which we use to great effect with car boot sales that are huge fundraisers so there's huge benefits to having the ground where it is. At the end of the day, it's up to us as a club to make match days more attractive, a lack of volunteers is a huge issue. Restricts the club from doing more stuff for kids and families on match days, I'm sure that's not an issue unique to Longford Town though.

Is the town growing in the direction of Flancare/whatever it's called these days, or in different directions ?

I live out 3 miles past Bishopsgate so far there doesnt seem to be any expansion out that way. Where I find where the town is expanding is out on the N4 bypass ie Sligo Dublin Rd.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

1st q(Quarter) of games over and i'd reckon attendance recorded numbers are decent.

I'll try catch up on it this evening but there's an awful lot of official figures missing, as well as a lack of estimated figures from others. Finding it much more difficult than previous years to get official figures.
