    2. Are you suggesting this was a conspiracy, to stop just Nigerians?

    3. Toy say, “That system makes no sense and is almost completely at the whim of a judge”. Unfortunately most things in this country are, not just asylum. Or at best at the whim of 5 judges in the Supreme Court
    2. Yes.

    3. Fair point, but the feeling is that the judges who preside over asylum applications don't appear to have any consistency, something that is backed up by your reponse to my first point.

Of course you won't be - the Irish government does it on your behalf.

Bertie has spent the past few months lobbying George W. to declare an amnesty for all Irish 'illegals' in the US, whilst at the same time toughening immigration laws in Ireland. Sadly, no one seems to get the contradiction in begging a foreign government to give citizenship to Irish people living within their borders 'illegally' whilst at the same time refusing to give Irish citizenship to people actually born in Ireland.

There has been some sh!te spouted on this forum and I would say two if not one poster actually knew the ins and outs of the Refugee Legal system. I know more than most would and would gladly divulge said info were it not for breaking many many laws

    Anyway...

I'm absolutely disgusted to say this but, Conor, you're spot on. You actually seem to know "actual" facts. Tis a sad, sad day.

    ok heres what i think

I have a problim with people who come into our country and make no effort to make it a better place. I have problims with people who are from ireland and make no effort to make ireland a better place. The people im talking about is the ones who leave school who dont bother getting jobs hang qound street coners and make peoplpe feel uneasy...
now on the other hand, i do like people who are either from ireland or who come into ireland , make a point of going to school who make a point in furthering the education or who go out and get jobs and are willing to work from the crap job to the top job. In bennis case he came to the country he inrolled in school, made friends joined a local football club and brought a bit of joy to peoples lives who are associated with that club he made a big step and came to play in the 1st team and has some times sent people home saying christ was'nt benni great tonight etc... in my eyes adding somthing to this country. He will im sure do very well considering in his leaving and i wish him all the best. i for one will be hoping he is allowed to stay in the hope he can send me away from a rovers game in weeks to come happy that he is in ireland and he has added to my life...

I fully agree with you. If people are willing to work then great if not then feck off! If that makes me a racist then fair enough but I cant agree with it

i understand where you coming from sligo man, i am far from a rasist, a lot of my freinds are muitly nationals but my gp is black, my boss in work is asian, and my soccer manager is irish these are all people who have and are making impacts on my life and if they were to be deported it would be terribal. there are a few muilty nationals who hang around my office building from 10:00 till somthimes after 8:00 when im going home and prob later and i have to ask myself what are they giving back from what we are obviously giving them?
and same goes for the irish people who are doing the same.

Your not a rasist sligo man, all you want is honestly but unfortunalty not everyone is like that! lets jsut hope the honest ones are kept here and we benifit from there presence.

Can't we circulate a petition requesting that Benni be left alone and Trevor Molloy deported in his stead?

How about deporting the Rodster? I'll pay the costs. We'd get more signatures on a petition supporting that than that young fella from Nigeria got a few months back.

Send him somewhere warm and humid so the gob****e sweats like a pig in those Louis Copeland suits of his.

    Altogether now,
"Whattda we want? RODDY OUT! When do we want it? NOW!"

    Pity

Pity he's leaving. He was Rovers only player against us at Belfield & was pretty exciting to watch. He had family there supporting him too.

Will The Hoops woes ever end?

Spotted in Croker yesterday - The Shodster spending the 400 Club money at the bar behind the Hogan Stand. He was giving the Louis Copeland gear a rest for the day:

    Dublin polo shirt
    Tan shorts
Brown slip on shoes with no socks.

With a getup like that The Rod would never make it past immigration control in any country worth its salt...

Benni reported to the authorities this morning and his case was deferred until September. His lawyer's have lodged an appeal against his deportation order and are hoping he will be granted leave to remain over the next few weeks.
