The Echo also reported, last week, that Billy was signing for City along with St Pats dead ball specialist Martin Russell. Then on saturday The Star reported that "Shamrock Rovers star Billy Woods is likely to join Cork City in the summer". If you ask me id say the Martin Russell story is bullsh*t but there is a very good chance Billy Woods will be playing in a city shirt next season, especially if Ollie leaves.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

They are both outstanding players, but I have to say that Ollie just about gets my vote. If only we could have them both then we would be a force to be rekoned with (fingers crossed)!!!!!!

seriously though, it'd be great to have both, but if I had to pick one of them, I'd go for Ollie, probably just cos I never saw Billy play for city.

well considering I'd rate most of ye lot above gunther as management material and none of ye picked up on it, I'd say the chances then of gunther doing so would be slim..

but i reckon gunther (with his UEFA coaching badge in hand) might realise woodsie is indeed right footed and play both of them

    Éanna in city shocker!!!!!!!!

Ah these sunshine supporters never seen city play samba footie under Rico only for him to be replaced by Noel O'Mahony (makes Gunthers style seem enlightened ).

Never seen Billys wonder goal v Bohs at a sparsly attended Bishopstown. Maybe not even seen the all time classic Johnny Glynn "mud goal".

btw Billy at his peak on wide pitch at Bishopstown was probably best City winger ever....

Ok, I lie, I saw him play out there once, but I don't remember it! I was too young and ignorant!
