    Official Transfers Abroad 2022

Technically 2022 but Danno Cleary has signed for St Johnstone. A player who could be on a Jamie McGrath type path. I think he’s the centre half I rated highest in the league, combination of footballing ability, speed, pace, aggressiveness. Unlikely to ever get a cap considering the number of Centre-halves coming through and/or playing at a higher level (I’d say he’s currently somewhere in the 9th - 14th choice but good player nonetheless and young enough that it could happen for him)

Ooh, this is a debatable one - one of the young stars of LOI, the type of player we'd hope to see more of post-Brexit, Johnny Kenny, has joined Celtic - https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2022...o-join-celtic/ - so, is this an immediate impact breakthrough move, like for Liam Scales? Or a career-ruiner, like for Afolabi, Connell, O'Connor? Or do we wait and see how he gets on against Bonnyrigg Rose and Gala Fairydean, a la Bosun Lawal and Rocco Vata?

Our next breakthrough centre-half? After arriving at Crystal Palace in February, Jake O'Brien is sent on loan to Swindon and might make his debut against Man City: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/59874455

I know this is not official, but there's no transfer rumours thread in this section and this is so juicy, I had to put it somewhere - Sinclair Armstrong only moved to QPR in 2020 - he went to Torquay for a short, but productive loan period, has been scoring fairly regularly in what appears to be a terrible U23 team, and has appeared in a few matchday squads - reasonable progress, for sure, but you wouldn't expect it to be enough to make him a target for Man City - well according to this report, you would be wrong to think that - https://www.balls.ie/football/report...paign=see+also

Yeah I know, but goal.com must be geoblocked in Canada because whenever someone here or anywhere else posts a link for an article on it and I click through, I get taken to a site called sportingnews.com, which seems to be a North American sports site, and the article isn't there.

Conor Coventry (21) of West Ham is going on loan to League One MK Dons for the rest of the season. He was recalled from his loan to Championship Peterborough when he got limited game time there. (FLW, 18 Jan).

Ali Reghba had stagnated at Leicester for quite a while now as far as I could see. I don't know if he has even featured much for their 23s side this season. He's signed for CR Belouizdad in Algeria. He qualifies for Algeria but I would say that if he's moving there with an eye on the national squad then he has a lot of work to do.

Strange move for him, seemed to be suited to League 1 football. Wrexham in sixth, five points off the top of the table, and looking good for a play off finish.

Interesting move, they're playing in the African Champions League this season

There's also talk of St Pat's Josh Keeley moving to Spurs for a considerable fee, but nothing confirmed as of yet.
