No? If you get to the EL groups and lose all your games, that's still better than getting four points in the ECL, which is far from a gimme, even if Rovers are third seeds.

It's effectively win-win for Rovers at this stage.

8 players with only Byrne (injured) and Towell and Farrugia that could be called senior Pros.
Any sign of Simon Power as yet?

I think the West Ham fans alone would come close to selling out the Aviva (minor hyperbole). An away European tie in Dublin is something I'd imagine would be appealing to 10s of 1000s of Londoners.

If Rovers do make the EL I would see each of their 3 group games getting 30k+. I think they'd be similar events in terms of profile to the cup final .

Nice to see an Irish team playing a game that has a feel to it like a big European Wednesday or Thursday night game.

No that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying the costs of going to each venue and playing is costing them money

Ya hadn't factored in more than 5k west ham fans. You might be right but spurs brought few over that time back. They hadn't much interest.

30k to me seems like an awful lot for EcL games

I'm confused. Matchday costs are always a thing. You get three mill or so up front to play those games. How is that losing money?

Don't think you can blame that one on Mannus. Rovers have been under the cosh for a while. Just not able to deal with the quality of the opposition and panicking and giving away possession when they do get it. Kavanagh guilty of giving it away very poorly early on.

Rovers are not up to this standard so far.

Hoare having a few of his usual european brainfart moments and kicking it straight to opposition.

Rovers settled a bit after conceding. They’ll be disappointed with the start but keep it solid now after the water break and stay in the game. They’ve won a few dangerous frees and made it into the box a couple of times so there’s some promise there.

Ferencváros just seem at a different level so far. The best Rovers can hope for is to keep the score down and move on to the conference group stages.

Watts is really struggling. Getting bullied too often and losing the ball too easily. There’s a danger of it getting messy with the second now.

Missing your core spine is always going to be difficult. Lopes, McCann, Byrne and Burke are arguably Rovers best players.

This could be a cricket score. Could easy be 4 already.
Most Rovers players are actually doing ok but a few are very poor - Hoare, Kavanagh, Watts, Greene.
It was gonna be a tough task with a full team but missing 6 they're really struggling.
