Sigh! Quinner should be playing for the Owls but they couldn't afford to keep him after they were relegated. I wonder where geary is these days for Sheff utd ?

To answer my own question, I read this on a Sheff U site:

"Geary has had a hand bags at dawn with Neil Warnock, stormed out of the ground, now in talks with Cardiff. He doesn't want to go as he likes it in Sheffield. I'd rather him not go cos he's good as back up but I think he wants to be more involved in the starting line up."

So Geary has been dropped it would appear.

I should have added that Graham Coughlan looked like a perfectly good second tier centre-back.

Coughlan was excellent again last night against Leeds. Glenn Whelan again captained the Wednesday side and Barry Corr was on the bench. No sign of Ritchie Partridge which is a worry as he only has a contract until December.

Owen Garven apparently scored a screamer for Ipswich and Kevin Doyle's exploits are covered elsewhere.
