The least we can do.
A minute’s silence will be observed at matches in Ireland this week-end as a mark of respect to the victims of the London bombings.
The recently-elected President of the Football Association of Ireland, Mr. David Blood, has written to the British Ambassador to Ireland, Mr. Stewart Eldon, offering his condolences and extending the sympathies of the Irish football family to the families and friends of those who were killed and injured in Thursday’s atrocities.
The least we can do.
well there was none at the cross which was strange...how about elsewhere?
There was one at Richer for the Pats/Shels game and perfectly observed too
Apart from the guy who roared "Ndo yer a Judas wnker!" just as the ref was putting his whistle in his mouth to blow for the end of the minute.

I didn't hear that and hopefully a lot of other people missed it tooOriginally Posted by Dr.Nightdub
Everyone respected the silence, but next time some may need to think of putting their cell phone off. I heard that annoying Crazy Frog during the minute of silence, luckily the owner turned off his phone after less than 3 seconds.
We had a well respected minute's silence at the carlisle
Was one at the Brandywell but a few harps fans thought they'd act the mouth by laughing and talking during it!!Although most of their fans gave it full respect!
One in the Showgrounds too and it was well respected apart from little kids running about making noise as usual![]()
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

I presume we'll be having a minute's silence before all the remaining matches in memory of the Iraqi people for whom attacks of this nature have become part of everyday life?
Ya one in Terryland and well observed by both sets of fans.

So, we have 3 minutes silence for an Asian tsunami, but only 1 for a slaughter in Europe. Why?Ffs, which continent is Ireland in?

When there was one for the Pope in Drogheda, a fire engine outside the ground didn't respect it, and it's siren blared for half the "minute".![]()
How many minutes silences will we need for the several hundred thousand victims of the Monsoon rains in India, Sri lanka, and Bangladesh? We'll need a whole half of silence to cover that. Alternatively, just watch any Home Farm game, as there's more noise in a phone box.

Minutes silence in Bray too.
If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.

Minute's silence in Waterford too for what it's worth.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
As opposed to the usual ninety minutes' silence in the RSC?
