Don’t know much about the Drogheda lads that came in yesterday so would appreciate any Drogs fans opinions? I think Breslin will be a good fit next year. Too early to gauge how we are shaping up next season.

Redmond only came in in July and was a very solid defender. Don't think he put a foot wrong in his time here. He was captain at Birmingham u23's so he's definitely a capable footballer and still only 21.

Doyle on his day is brilliant but he can be a bit inconsistent. He'll definitely need to earn his place at Pat's, as Pat's have a few who play in a similar role. Hopefully he'll improve with full time football and good service. Will always get 100% from him.

McRedmond is a centre back played in the UK, early 20’s. very strong and a great reader of the game. I am very disappointed to see him go tbh.

Doyle - he is a funny player, his goal tally would make it look like he’s a beast but for a lot of games he’s anonymous but then pops up and gets a goal in important games. He rarely runs at and beats a man but around the edge of the box he has a good shot. He can also score with his head too. He linked very well with Lyons but when Lyons was out injured you could see Doyle’s game dipping and he started to get dropped as a starter for a while. It will be interesting to see how he fairs with Pats.
    Drogheda United in this together

Max Murphy moves from Rovers to bohs. That's a strange one.
First decent player to go in that direction since Tony grunt.
Best of luck to max, he seems a good kid.

I think comparing a kid with 4 or 5 starts to Tony Grant is a stretch.
I don't think there will be too many people bringing pigs heads out to Dalyer for him....good luck to him anyway.

Paddy Kirk to Sligo. Good signing for them he was excellent for us last year.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

We have signed Daniel Jones from Bray Wanderers. I have never heard of him before but he has a lot of crosschannel experience.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Get to know him here Marty. He must be rough when the Towns old mate Mickey Adams thinks he deserves to be sacked!!

John Martin signs for Dundalk from Waterford. Good player and not surprised he has been signed by a Premier club. He's still only 22 but has been playing first team football for the Blues since he was 18.
Ian Morris seems to be favourite for the manager's job at Waterford with reports that it is to be announced soon.

The examiner had an article up last night claiming Morris was set to be appointed as manager and that there’s only 5 players under contract. Eddie Nolan the only one named. Oddly enough I think the article has been taken down as I go no longer find it, but the reporter John Fallon is normally spot on and he also tweeted the news.

Ye could do with a manager in ASAP I’d imagine. Afaik we are starting preseason training after Christmas I’m not sure if it’s 27th or 3rd of Jan but I’d say most clubs will be starting back around the same time.

Why can't they just say it's three years or twenty years or whatever it is? Saying multi year doesn't make it sound more impressive. Same with Dundalk and Hoban initially.

Great to see Billy King signing a new contract at Pats. Hugely effective in 2021 and scored some cracking goals. The squad is shaping up nicely.

Delighted with that one. I was sure that he would follow the snake.

I don't think King was ever linked with Dundalk to be fair, but others have and might follow, Barrett and Mountney are the obvious too, maybe one more also.

I`m sure the 'snake' is hissing thinking about who to go for next.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).

Indeed I’d say he is waiting in the long grass on a few signings.
