Tunde is a super signing for Pats. Suits the style of play, has pace to burn, and a great finisher.

Dreadful news for us though. We've a big rebuild on our hands.

I'm expecting we might very well experience the same so we may very well be re-acquainting ourselves at the lower end of the league.

That league and SPL are great options for LOI players in my view, we also need to get away from England being the first choice, PL obv too high, Championship will only take the very best too, some of the less big euro leagues can be good options too, but probably less links for our players to go to.

Note to self 'Well done for not commenting on the Pats - SOD saga' ..........................yet !
Dan Casey, ex Bohs s at the club already. Lee said he’s spoken to him and that was a factor in choosing that club. Gutted that he’s gone, super defender, but wish him all the best.

(And you were doing so well until your last line there Oriel - nearly made it. )
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

John Mountney has signed for Dundalk. An honest sort of player who had bad luck with injuries.

Tunde will be missed a lot in Finn Park, took him a a while to adapt to the LOI but once her got his bearings he was immense. He is the kind of forward defenders hate just constantly running at & around them, and the one thing you guaranteed is 100% effort from him. Sound fella too, very down to earth

He wont exactly have far to travel Mountney, never actually left 'the town' - still living there.

Mountney was an important character around the dressing room at Pats but his return to Dundalk is understandable and Pats fans will wish him well. Still has a few months before he’ll be fit to play, though.

Derry are going to announce in the new year the permanent signing of a current Scotland (yes?!) international in what will be by far the biggest transfer fee and wage ever paid in the League of Ireland.

Like how Georgie Kelly was done and dusted? Or how Sloggett, Cleary and Daniel Kelly were en-route too?

"St Pat’s claim the extension was legally activated in correspondence between the club chairman Garrett Kelleher and O’Donnell and Graham Barrett, the manager’s agent."

So we finally get to the nub of it. The contract had an option to extend and Pats activated it in correspondence with SOD and his agent.

The senior council named in the article Michael Cush SC looks a big hitter. A quick look through newpaper articles show him representing the state & Rory Mcilroy among others.

IF! the contents of that article are true you can see why Kelleher is going full on to crush SOD financially.
Don't have any skin in the game but feel sorry for SOD on a human level, on the face of it if the article is true he was doing exactly what normally gets done in the LOI but unfortunately for him has run into a guy who is has a scary combination of principles and money

I'm hoping this is scheduled to be wrapped up in the first quarter of 22. Id like to see the whole episode put in the rear view mirror. It will be very interesting to see the final ruling on the issue.

Ah but will his wages be bigger than the one and only Wilfred Zahibo ? If anything summed up P6's knowledge of football, he was it !

Is activated different that signed ? Could only be activated from one side awaiting formal acceptance / execution.

An open goal has been missed by the lack of a Saint Stephen's Day pun in this article
