Local reports in media indicating there will be news on signings at DFC before this weekend.

That would be nice to add to the current 3 players, 2 who are recently promoted youth players !!!!!!
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).

If it were to be trashed out in court it would more depend on the opinion of the judge on implied activation to the contract or not signed, silly to implement it. A sufficiently bruised ego could roll the dice. The length of time new terms were used will guide compensation if there is to be any - 6 weeks salary!?
Wondering where you’re seeing that info ?
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

Hopefully a few Pats players just to liven things up for the rest of us.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

Dundalk could have done with Barry Murphy in goal last season to be fair.

:-( One of the more useful imports. Brian Gartland won't have much company at this rate.

That would be a welcomed Christmas present alongside the official St Pats SOD voodoo doll. Here hoping.

Interesting with the Johnny Kenny link to Celtic. Celtics head of youth development is Willie McStay ex Sligo Rovers player mgr and he was a teammate of Johnnys dad at Sligo Rovers. I think its a win win for Sligo Rovers imo!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Conor Kane has signed for Shels from Drogheda. €20k compensation fee.

Evan Weir who was with UCD the last 2 seasons has gone to Drogs as replacement

Jonny Kenny is one of the brightest prospects in the league, so him going for €150k reflects quite poorly on the LOI, in my opinion.

Wow, where did you hear the 20k compensation fee ? Kane's a very good player and I was sick when I found out he left but if 20k was involved then it's a no brainer for the club. There's a huge disparity between the top 6/7 clubs budget's this season and with European places limited some clubs will have very little to show for it this time next year.

It's frustrating as a Drogheda fan that we won't be able to kick on from last season and will probably be considerably weaker next year but I'm happy as long as we avoid relegation for the next few years and be patient.

Seems to be some talk that Mark Doyle and Joe Redmond will be following Clancy to Pats. Would be quite happy with Doyle hut can't say I know much about Redmond at all

Damn I was hoping we could hold onto McRedmond - he is a brilliant centre back. Came in during our mid season poor run and shores up our defense immediately. I real hope we keep him.
    Drogheda United in this together

Redmond is a decent footballer, but I'm not sure he'd be a starter for Pat's . Must mean Barrett is definitely off to Dundalk if he is signing. Fairly mass exodus from Drogheda now I really hope they all get game time wherever they do end up. Kane is Shels 3rd left back now, not sure Redmond would start at Pats. I think Markey's previous experience with lack of game time at Pats is probably what led him to stay with us for next season.

Hugh Douglas confirmed for bray - with last seasons injuries I thought he’d bow out this off season. Great character best of luck to him at bray.

I'd imagine you're correct on Barrett, even worse for us is that it seems nailed on Lee Desmond is off to the States so we're going to have some job getting in able replacements for those two. James Abankwah looks a serious talent but is still only a kid, so I'd imagine even if Redmond does happen there'll still be more work to be done in that area of the pitch (as well as the rest to be fair!).
