Goldenbridge is the usual stop I think. 5 minute walk. Never had any problems
I was thinking of getting the Luas in from Red Cow for the match to avoid traffic. Drimnagh, Goldenbridge and Suir Road look near to ground. Any advice from Pats fans on which is better and is it a safe walk?

They are all ****e stops, with the same pond-life existing at all three at different part of the day. More likely to have hassle at Goldenbridge I'd say if it's an evening kick off. But it's the closest directly - 5 min walk through Michael's Estate which tbf isn't as big a deal anymore.
I live close to all three and would walk regularly so would be confident enough of the above.
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!
Stating the obvious but how sh1te is it to have to ask what stop to get off as the safest, and it a neutral spot for the game. As ive said before never had any hassle one way or another going to Richmond but still sad that it has to be a consideration at all. Genuine question and for some context - would it really be much different if it were heading to Oriel (or Tallaght et al), even if eg over 2 legs home/away as it really should be, and potential niggle there can be between some 'fan' ypes?
Like I said I'm going since I was a kid in the mid nineties and never had a bother, either walking from public transport or parking a car. Its just that if your not from the area I wouldn't advise walking through Keoghs Square from the Drinmagh stop. You would have more of a chance walking by a few unsavourys on that route. The Goldenbridge over the canal lock through the housing estate and your on Emmett road would be the route id recommend for anyone not desensitized to urban decay created by decades of bad urban planning in the area.
I hope my comment didnt come across as a slight on St Pats or going to Richmond as so far so good for me too. When not driving that sounds like the option taken occasionally, crossing the canal a few residential streets and then near the ground. Were more recent playoff finals in neutral grounds? Would the Carlisle Ground be a bit fairer if up to it, Longford even or is my geography way off!?
Bircham shedding more light on the situation, pretty pathetic if that’s true….

Im no big fan of Bircham from playing days and that could well be a deflection! If it does happen to be true then it is a bit of using a club a personal play thing and the manager was right to stand their ground. But a weeks suspension for saying he doesnt rate the owners boy, to then a sacking via text and on social media. Doesnt add up imo.
There's an interesting reply in that twitter thread from someone else close to Friday's game...
Will loitv cover this under the previous subscription or are they looking for a one off payment?
I suppose anywhere over 1,000 can be expected at Richmond tonight, seems a big contingent will be up from Waterford!
Early lead for Waterford.
Great start for Waterford,Bircham in attendance aswell!!

Got into the ground as the team in blue scored.
One cheer in the UCD area which silenced quickly when I saw noone else celebrating!
