    Hoggie deserves a chant

I'm no chant-writer but its't it about time this guy got some recognition?
Under-rated on the ball, opposition often target him thinking he's the weak link but he is never found wanting, almost never gets booked, always keeps the pace of the game up, keeps his composure (even last Monday when we were chasing the game, he kept doing the right thing - until subbed).

Last night - great pass for Roy to score and a super run & cross in the second half on top of the defensive duties.
And to think that our previous manager wouldn't play him when fit for much of last season. (In fact he was one of the guys (eventually) brought back in that coincided with the unbeaten run).

    A key player.

Hoggy does have his own chant- the one where we sing his name to the tune of kumbaya! great player though, our very own denis irwin; a model of consistency.

One of the most intelligent players in the league. Great positional sense too.

Never heard this until last week, now I've heard it twice.
It's brutal TBH. LIke a funeral march or something.
Pity, coz he's getting even better these days.

    How about:

    Oh Hoggie Hoggie
    Everytime you play
you are king of the cross

    to the same tune of:

    Oh Teddy Teddy
    Teddy Teddy Teddy
    Teddy Sheringham

Nah ... over done at this stage !!
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
