Kelly in the late kickoff. Not a great jersey, but McDonagh's crest looks like it was stuck on with sellotape and slipped.
Hello, hello? What's going on? What's all this shouting, we'll have no trouble here!

Oi - I gave Bazunu the nod in the only other tie-break!

Now if it came to a tie-break between Bazunu and the Kelleher top, well then there's only one winner

And only one winner here too - McDonagh by the surprisingly comprehensive score of 8-3. I don't think that Kelly top is bad at all. But out it goes.

Onto the third round so. Two repechage kits left, and again they can't face the kit that knocked them out in the first round (one of which has itself been knocked out). Every decade is represented, and fairly equally so (5 x 80s, 4 x 90s, 3 x 00s, 3 x 10s, 1 x 20s)

So we kick off the action with another Kelly v Given clash.

I'll throw a vote to Given's fishnet look. I don't like the sorta V thing going on with the Kelly effort.

Kelly. I don't love it either. The V pattern makes me think of a turbo boost in a racing game (or Formula E, for that matter). Just why anything would be racing down his torso... maybe best left in Copper's. That said, Given's jersey is another example of the grey, navy and/or black kits that all look really dull to me. It's like the thinking on keeper kit design went from "intimidation" to "camouflage" some time in the late 90s.

Kelly by dint of being less bad. Given's looks like a knock-off top you'd expect to see branded with Ummbro or Adiddas or New Balence.

Is it not purple? Or is it one of those weird colours that people see differently?

Going to keep that one open until Monday morning, but a second tie pits Kelly against Bazunu.

I'd call it a dark blue, but I can see where you're coming from. It probably depends on the light, and as you say individual perception.

Just to throw a spanner in the works.
The missus bought me ‘Green, White and Orange’ yesterday. The history of the Irish soccer jersey.
And I think there may be one or two keepers jerseys in it that we haven’t had in this comp.

Unfortunately I can’t add photo on iPhone for some reason. Will need to prob sit down with mac later on to post a few

Bazunu. It's a tidy looking kit.

Bazunu. The curtain affect on Kelly's is a step too far towards farce.
