Sure there are loadsa people who would be very cynical of Cork and especially Rico, myself included.

They should have a panel of 4 people. The host, there resident eL pundit and then every week have a different eL manager and a current or ex player

I thought Kinger was hot and cold; I don't think the quality of his analysis was anything to write home about, but he's a genuine character and I think you need that, especially on a show where most (all) of the players, coaches etc can be very boring.

He was very honest,he din't try to hide DIABOLICAL mistakes (defenders falling over themselves eg.Rovers v Bray and other in general) made by players.

Kinger is taking up a position with the F.A.I. as full-time National Women's team manager. He will be expected to attend women's games during the summer to check on potential international players. Those games take place on Monday nights mainly in the Dublin area. Hence he won't be available to do the TV 3 gig. Plus as a full-time employee of the F.A.I. he would not be as free to comment as might otherwise be the case.

Hate to disappoint you he has already been manager in a part time capacity since 2000 and has brought Ireland into the top flight of European nations and we are now in a position should we win our qualification groups to play in European Championship Finals, World Cup Finals and Olympic Games for the first time in our history.

    Now that's selective quoting monutdfc

He kept refering to Waterford last night, saying (more or less) "The promoted team might have a stint at the top at the start but then goes back to the bottom of the table when it settles down". He insinuated a few times that Waterford were the promoted team this year I know they play like one, but they've been up for a while now
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.

slightly off topic, but I'm sure Rico described the Cork attack as 'loquacious' last night - I'm sure Georgie Haji-boy and Liam and O'Flynn and the rest can talk several hind legs of several Barry Fergusons or Colin Hawkins, but what's that got to do with their game?

Noel King is the only one on the show prepared to tell it like it is, he was the only guest this year who has been comfortable on camera and he was a great character too. He will be a huge loss to the show.

Fact ThatGuy, you are knackered enough at that ungodly hour on a Monday night without the cardboard cut out pundits putting you into a coma with their platitudes. Kinger keeps you awake.

He'll be missed allright - i would often dissagree with what he said but he was certainly comfortable on camera & the banter was fun.

Somebody mentioned Liam Coyle - I'd love to hear his opinions on the eL, would involve a lot of travel for him though. Derek Swan could be good too. Dolan is an obvious choice, like him or not, he is a quality pundit & his passion for the league is obvious to the viewers.

Of course people will pick faults with performances by a team that are flying high. I always had the strange feeling that Noel didn't like Cork.....

perhaps they should (as someone else suggested earlier)to bring in journelists who report on the league. Emmet Malone for instance????

    Exclamation

I dunno ... who ever is going to replace Kinger, i think Osam is doubtful !!
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

A leading authority on League of Ireland football since 2003. You're probably wrong.

We call Kinger an idiot but from what CTID says and what I've read women's soccer has come on leaps and bounds since he has taken over. Good to see the reason he is leaving is that his post has become full time.
