It's like watching loi players 10+ years ago in Europe. Except they were part timers and we're full blown professionals

Decent start, but we had a decent start on Saturday.
You just don't see the same space and running on the TV. Everything looks rushed on tv

Game is probably a bit too open for comfort. Disappointing to concede from a corner. They’ve got mistakes in them at the back too. It’s an entertaining watch if you’re a neutral I’d imagine

Serbia are a nice little side. They’ve also got the ability to speed it up when needed.

We really lack a player who can take us up the pitch. We are often very pedestrian on the ball and it allows Serbia to reset.

Omombambidele really looks the part. Worrying thing for me is the amount of work Cullen is being left to do. There’s been a few instances towards the end of the half where they have an extra man wide right and it’s being left to Cullen to bust a gut to get there every time. Idah has been great again at times, but not managing to get on the end of a few decent balls in is a negative. Second half could go either way. Stirring comeback or lose 4-0.

If we had 2 or 3 more players who are genuinely comfortable on the ball in tight areas wedbe a decent side.

Decent start, a bit like Azerbaijan except against against a better side, but again, that faded and we lost the midfield battle after a while, finished off by a goal this time.

The difference in attack between the two teams in terms of the the pace, organisation and numbers committed, is stark.

Feel sorry for Idah up there all alone, a hard role to play.

Henrick our best player so far. Browne totally lost. Idah totally isolated. Robinson for browne to play off idah , plY mcgrath centrally in the midfield 3.

Omobamidele and Hendrick have been very good for us. Idah has done well in a thankless role. Doherty too, showing as a leader. Maybe McGrath has shone too. The rest fairly anonymous and/or ineffective. Commentators raving about McClean but I’m not really having it, just cos he put in two crosses that didn’t hit the first defender. We also look very exposed on his side when we turn the ball over. Duffy is not the right man for what Kenny wants to do…but how can you drop your top scorer

    Agree with those changes liamoo

Mcclean and Hendrick our best players. Been completely outclassed though. Could get something from a corner or free kick maybe and hope Serbia keep missing their chances.

He gets caught out with the touch and go stuff he was caught out twice tonight and in Portugal but overall defending and moving into space to receive the ball is good. I've said on here before we always seem to produce a surplus number of players in one position and we're doing it again.

Idahs becoming quite one dimensional , yes i know it's early days but the Serbs are more than happy with his game and handling it easy.

Another poor set piece we've conceded.

McGrath looks good but who knows he could be crap the next couple of games. We've still too many players who come in and out of games and too many who have 1 in 3 or so good games.

Absolutely. Two or three players of real quality would transform this side. Whether Kenny is sacked or not, it will take us a couple of years to be really competitive I think. I still like the fact that we’re trying to pass the ball, albeit maybe overdoing at times at the back. I know the results have been poor, and yes, we should be beating Luxembourg and Azerbaijan at home, but I’d still keep faith with Kenny. We’re probably going to lose this, but we’re doing ok. Might even #natch a draw, who knows. Jamie McGrath has played well I thought. I imagine Robinson will come in sooner rather than later.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

You know…whatever else becomes of Kenny’s reign, it puts to bed forever this notion that Irish players can’t pass the ball and play a decent brand.

I never really understand the level the of grief directed at Hendrick, he's technically sound and has actually put in a few decent performances under Kenny. He's far from our biggest problem.

We need another forward on the pitch now for sure, Idah needs some help. If Robinson isn't able to play more than 30 minutes then Parrott.

That's the right change. Browne hasn't been much use tonight

Hendrick and McClean have both done well tonight, for two players who get a lot of abuse.

Here comes Robinson. Glad he didn’t just bring him on for Idah.

And another terrific save from Bazunu. Superb performance.

Bazunu easily the highlight for Ireland in these three games.
