I'm going to argue that a Bohs fan mentioning European away attendences makes me laugh more than you've managed to type there.
And our crowds are pretty much equal if you check the attendence threads, but don't let reality hit you, Bohs fans rarely do.

Are you crazy??? Do you even go to Shels games? Bohs attendances dwarf Shelbourne's, and Bohs don't have to go around industrial estates handing out free tickets to bemused Europeans to fill seats.Originally Posted by Slash/ED
Of course in your make-believe world of a Shelbourne Football Club with decent attendances the above probably doesn't happen!
Shelbourne's crowds are an embarassment to Irish football. With all their difficulties even Shamrock Rovers can still pull in more punters, and fair play to them.
You accuse me of make believe yet ignore the fact that our attendences have never been far apart, check the attendence thread, all Shels and Bohs numbers there are offical bar the latest match, the Longford game. Rovers don't even get near enough, you're talking complete and utter sh*te.
Yeah the biscuit tin method is a great way of measuring attendances. The day Shels release official attendances is the day that pigs fly. Everybody knows what kind of dealings go down in Tolka and why the attendance figures released will never be accurate.
Ah, so you know better eh?
Are you accusing Shels of lying about their attendences by exaggerating them? Is that Bohs fans latest shyte, Shels are feeling generous so we want to pay more tax?
ha ha ha etc etc
Pigs must be flying, as Shels have released offical attendences all season.
Unlucky.
You must be fairly thick if you can't think of the financial benefits in Shelbourne FC giving exaggerated attendance figuresOriginally Posted by Slash/ED
why do shels allow people to pay in on the gate instead of using tickets as they're meant to (like the Licensing deal says) so?Originally Posted by Slash/ED
Yeah because paying more tax is fun and that's what Bohs fans love about us.Originally Posted by ThatGuy
You're talking shyte, we both publish offical attendences, our attendences are almost identical. Unlucky.
Something to do with the turnstyles we have being allowed under that very licensing deal.why do shels allow people to pay in on the gate instead of using tickets as they're meant to (like the Licensing deal says) so?
And with that genius statement goes any credibility that can be attached to your posts.Originally Posted by Slash/ED
Yeah or I could be like you, "I don't goto Shels games or anything, but I just KNOW Bohs attendences are WAAAAY bigger. The offical attendences are lying, it's all made up, but I know better of course"Originally Posted by ThatGuy
Bohs number have decreased from recent years but i've never been to Bohs game with 1000 people whereas have bene to numerous Shels games with those figures.Originally Posted by Slash/ED
Bohs v Shels = 500 shels fans
Shels v Bohs = ??? Bohs fans
You obviously, much like their support, didn't goto their relegation play off match.
You're right, Shels problem has been the smaller games have gotten far less home supporters than the bigger games, so our crowds go up and down. I'd say that's down to the fact we've played some awful football to watch at times recently, though for friday games this season the crowds haven't decreased too much at all so it's improving it seems. Monday games we get awful crowds though.
I thought there was no tax levied on entrance fees to sports events in the South - unlike the north....?Originally Posted by Slash/ED
Q.How much does it matter to you what our figures are?
A.It doesn't
It's different here, I'm not 100% sure on how it works but it's still not in your best interests to exaggerate attendences. It's something to do with your end of year profit they tax you on, which entrance fees is part of, but I'm not sure.Originally Posted by dcfcsteve

There is no arguing the fact that Shels are disgracefully supported

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.
