Coca-Cola League One side S****horpe United will take on eircom League First Division outfit Cobh Ramblers in a pre-season friendly at St Colman’s Park next month.
S****horpe sealed promotion from League Two last season, finishing in second place behind champions Yeovil Town.
And their preparations for their first season back in the upper grade in six years will include a trip to the south coast of Ireland to take on First Division high-fliers Cobh.
Stephen Henderson’s Ramblers are midway through their current campaign and lie in fourth place in the table, just five points behind leaders Sligo Rovers.
The friendly clash will take place at St Colman’s Park on Wednesday July 20th with a 7.30pm kick-off.

Yes. Its a very old joke. 'Who put the **** in S****thorpe?'
Any way, a few of us are making the trip over for the match 20th July.
I am staying in Cobh for the Wednesday and Thursday.
Where can we meet up with the Cobh supporters for a pre match drink on the Wednesday? Also, anywhere for live music and drinks in Cobh on the Thursday.
See you all soon.
Looking forward to trip to Ireland and visit to Cobh.
Just to get you all interested, which two England captains played for S****horpe United in the 1970's/80's?
What are S****horpe United known as?
What was the name of their original ground prior to moving to Glanford Park?
Free beer for first correct set of answers. Deadline for answers 16th July, 12 noon. See you in the bar prior to match on Wednesday 20th July.
PS. Which bar? Do you have one at the ground?

Directions to ground on web www.cobhramblers.com. As for the Clubhouse, nice setup, good pints with good friendly atmosphere before and after game. However ye guys would probably also like it in the pubs down in the town about 1km away as they are also worth a visit.
Rambler 1.
Thanks for the info. Club pic on website looks good enough.
Lux. You are right. Must have been very young when I saw Ray Clemance play at OSG. Pint for you at Social club bar around 6.30 before game.
Not sure how many are making trip over. From message board have onle seen two confirmed. Be lucky to see 20 there.
See you next week.
No bother Graweasel. BTW No problem with kids in clubs or pubs until about 9 PM officially anyway but you could probably stretch that a bit too to about 10 or 11.Originally Posted by graweasel
