    27. Domarski's goal in 1973 in the game England 1 Poland 1, one of the costliest results in England's history since it stopped them from going to the 1974 World Cup finals in West Germany and got manager Alf Ramsey the sack after 12 years in charge and visiting goalkeeper Jan Tomazewski having the game of his life. Watched it live on TV. Classic stuff.

    49. Alan Simonsen, Tans v Denmark 1983. 'Disputed' penalty (all the better). Meant the world's favourite supporters couldn't get to meet the CRS though.
This is the cooooooooooooolest footy forum I've ever seen!

12: Moeller, Germany - winning spot kick against them in the Euro 96 shoot out. More a fave for his arrogant strutting celebration to leave the "three lions" brigade in tears. Stand up Frank Skinner!!!
    13. Ferenc Puskas, Hungary - England 3 - 6 Hungary (Friendly, Wembley 1953)
The third goal, scored by Puskas, had them completely bewildered as he changed direction by rolling the ball back with the sole of his feet, swivelled and hit the ball past the hapless goalkeeper, Birmingham City's Gil Merrick.

    44. Andreas Ivanschitz, Austria (WC 06 qualifier, last year. Finished 2-2)
    45. Dan Petrescu, Romania (WC 1998 with two minutes to score. Kevin Keegan after Michael Owen's equaliser blurted out "There's only one team going to win this game and that is England!" Romania won 2-1)
    46. Oleg Protasov, USSR (1984. England lost 2-0 and it started a parliamentary debate to boot out Bobby Robson as manager.)
    47. Tony Cascarino, Rep. Ireland (equaliser, euro '92 qualifier, Lansdowne Rd)
    48. Denis Bergkamp, Netherlands (lob over Woods during the 2-2 draw at Wembley in the 1994 WC Qualifiers. Pure class!)

Thomas Dooley, USA June 9, 1993 (first goal in the 2-0 win over Graham Taylor's England....Lalas scored the second)
"Jacques Santini...will be greeted in every dugout of the country by "one-nil, one-nil" - Clive Tyldsley, 89th minute of France-England June 13, 2004.

How about Robbie Keane's third goal, in Ireland's 5-0 drubbing of Ingerland in Munich next summer sending them to another sad first round exit .

I should quit with the day dreaming and do some work!
Where am I now? I'm over here,
I've got those empty pockets and I can't afford a beer.

How is the Hand of God number one?!

It's not the best goal out of that lot. Just the most famous.
You will have to reshuffle things there.
His other "weaving' goal in that game was far better.
