Playing out from the back on that surface just asking for trouble. Rovers have hit the bar 3 times but still look 2nd best, tbh.

All good things must come to an end. Rovers not clinical enough, and with no viable options on the bench it looked inevitable after Kelly scored.
Fair play to dundalk- they've come from 13 points behind before so maybe history will repeat itself.

A very decent Longford side were brushed aside at the Showgrounds, there is going to be a different side on top of the table come Monday night.

Cabinteely looked very solid against Treaty tonight, passed it very well and deserved the win. Still very pleased with where we are after a series of games.

Rovers losing tonight had a couple of elements of Dundalk's issues with some sloppiness, not taking good chances and a keeper error. Not that the rot will get stuck in in the same way by any means. It does put a different spin on Monday as Sligo are more than capable if Rovers are below par and 2 losses on the spin is a sign of complacency which is often the down side of unbeaten runs.

Whatever happens on Mon even if we lose ; won’t be a sign of complacency - yes we made errors this evening and have done so in many other games - but the players always work their socks off plus we in fairness had no luck in front of goal tonight and nothing on our bench - so think we’ll be fine and losing tonight might turn out to be a great motivation - still think we’ll win the league

Harps have 1 win in 8 scoring in 2 of them games,3 goals in total and are still 5th,the league is not good.
Drogheda deserved to win tonight,so meek and lacklustre at home from us....
Irish by birth ,Harps by the grace of god.

I know this gets mentioned every year, but it does seem that it's more relevant this year. Most of the Premier - and the First as well actually - seem to be mid-table sides this year, and no-one's really standing out. Europe will be interesting as a more consistent view of whether the league has dropped back or not.

Wild game at Oriel. Could've finished on about any score you wanted bar nil all. Rover's looking ragged now with Finn added to the injury list. A few tonight seemed to have come back too early from their own injuries e.g. Joey and Greene. I'd read that Dundalk had a similar amount out but it didn't look it. It was a strong 11 and a packed bench on their side. I'd heard Kelly was injured but he looked sharp to me. He had a great game. Duffy and McEleney were brilliant as well. In contrast, Madriou, Burke and Greene were all poor.

It's all wide open now. Sligo well capable of taking points on Monday.

No chance unfortunately. This is a shadow of a Kenny team. They don't have the drive or hunger.... Or anything resembling a keeper

Have to agree with that , Treaty have exceeded expectations ,the next round of games a big test as the surprise element will be gone.Could not see Treaty finding a leveller tonight especially when Mcsweeney taken off.Qverall Cabo very comfortable.

Hard to take that tonight. We are going backwards. Monday night a real acid test.

Would you not class Rovers 11 as strong, I certainly would. Agree our bench was stronger.
Kelly was injured, he came back against Sligo but didn't play against Harps. You're right though he was good and needs to stay fit and interested for us.

Rovers had their 2 strikers playing and created enough chances to win so it's not just about injuries.

What a master stroke from Stevie O'Donnell in getting rid of Georgie Kelly. Good to see pats get their first penalty since April 2019 for a big 3 points in the race for Europe. Pats were poor tonight but in terms of Bohs chances, Jaros in goal had very little to do aside from Kelly's free header straight into his hands and Devoy's penalty which was awarded for a foul outside the box

Rovers had a strong 11 out and created enough chances to win including hitting the bar 4 times. Just wasn't our night. The break can't come soon enough, I'd take a point on Monday and run.

The First Division looks atrocious to me. UCD, and Cabinteely tonight actually, passed the ball nicely and with a bit of structure and intent, but the rest of us, Treaty included, just hoof it up the pitch and run after it, in the game I've seen at least.
