    Gary Bownes RIP

Dungannon Swifts striker Gary Bownes, who was the club's top scorer last season with 15 goals, tragically took his own life at the weekend.

The Swifts are a small friendly club and I'm sure this news has devasted their staff and supporters.

On behalf of all posters on this forum, I'd like to extend our sincerest and deepest condolences to his family and team-mates.

    RIP

Many condolences to all who knew him. I did not, so can not comment on what he was like as a person, but if he was like in life what he was like in the football field he must have been a great guy.

He was determined, a great player and huge force at Dungannon FC.

He will be missed sadly by everyone invloved in local football. May he rest in peace.
