Anyone read tonight's programme where Sean Connor is giving out about the article Stephen McLaughlin had wrote in the programme for the Malahide game. Stephen said we should not be getting carried away with just 1-0 victories, and Sean said that he wishes we win every game 1-0 for the rest of the season() and we win the league. He has asked the board to look at the way the programme is done in the future. What do you all think?

In the match day program the team should never be criticized. It doesn’t matter how we win our games as long as we win. Compared to the last few seasons of hell this season is heaven... top of the league could you imagine this under DOR?

Not so sure lads. Last night we were one up and all over Cobh in the first half. We had a very high percentage of the play but yet failed to kill them off. Even when they went a man down we still didn't capitalise on it. Cobh came out for the second a different side and their equiliser was coming and well deserved in my opinion. Indeed we rode our luck for a period when they got on top. Everyone in the ground I think thought Cobh would score when an O Reilly shot beat O Hara but went narrowly wide. Thankfully Rovers got their act together and scrambled a winner much to the annoyance of the away team.
Everyone will agree that Rovers were well on top in the first half but didn't capitalise on their possession. This is not the first game Rovers have done this and I think this is what Stephen McLoughlin spoke about in his article in the program. Connor took exception to these remarks and use the matchday program to have a go at McLoughlin. This in my opinion is wrong and the program is not the place to air one's grievances and Sean Connor should know that. Now what I'd like to know does Stephen McLoughlin have to right to reply? Should the program be used as a platform for individuals to have a go at each other? I have been ticked off twice here on this very forum for doing that and I acknowledge that it's wrong.
Sean Connor should have reacted in a more intelligent manner to the program comments of Stephen McLoughlin and have a personal word with the guy.
Sean Connor says in his notes that he wants the program revampted I think he should start with his own article. It's all very well playing to the crowd saying he's doing his upmost to get the shed reopened etc. I think he should be concentrating more on the footballing side of things and maybe installing some disipline in his players. Our winning goal was a treat but was there a need for the goalscored to throw the jersey away and be booked for his actions. This is the second such incident this season and once more the club will be fined. I'd like to hear Sean Connor's comment on that which I'm sure I wont.

Is there a football fan in the world, which would not accept a 1-0 win from their Club? I don’t think so. Everybody would wish for a 3 or 4 goal cushion, but, realistically “a win is a win” as the old saying goes.
I have enjoyed Stephen’s column for years in the programme. He usually has something interesting to say. He also looks at situations a little different from the norm. Something I admire.
There is no doubt in my mind that Stephan in a Rovers supporter true and true. Maybe it is not beneficial to question the team or manager on the official match programme, but I think he, as a contributor to the programme is entitled to air his opinions.
Sean on the other hand has to accept that, and not be using his own column as a means to attack a fellow supporter and contributor to the programme. Most good managers will defend their players tooth and nail. But, they also have to be able to take advice, and at times criticism when it is merited. I believe Stephen’s article was neither, but it gave a hint of caution to the team and supporters, not to get carried away with results. Nothing more, or nothing less.
Take it on the chin Sean, and concentrate on the next game.
