Monaghan Utd to play in USL next season

Good to see the Mons making a return at adult level next season in the Ulster Senior League.

Haven't heard too much in regards the start of the USL, but Donegal League starts mid-August and they're not too far apart in terms of organisation. Would assume first games will be end of August or start of Sept. Possibly leaving it last minute in attempting to get another team or two in. Last I heard there were discussions with a couple other sides.

Our ex-chairman was saying he thinks it's starting in September so that's sounds about right.

First game in the league under our belt and starts with a 2-0 victory over Letterkenny Rovers.

That's a super result. Signals intent too. Would be great to see Monaghan challenge for the title. Cockhill and Bonagee the two main contenders for me.

Just delighted to get off to a good start. Who knows how we will be against other teams but that will give the lads a bit of confidence.

Is there anywhere to keep track of USL results and tables?

Barely. Social media is the best really, but it's a disaster of a league. Soccer Donegal, and Ulster Senior League Facebook pages are the best source of information, and even then, it's difficult to find an up to date table online.
