his piece is mostly rehashed tripe, probably dished up at the last minute to fill a deadline, poorly researched.

    Ignore
That was the main reason I posted it. I don't think it should be ignored, as it sounds like the Indo may be pushing someone else's agenda.

Well that is how I judge them! If an Irish paper cannot be arsed to properly cover ITS OWN domestic Soccer League. I cannot be arsed to part with my hard earned money to purchase it

Does the league have any grounds to try something legally over this slurr ??
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

And what else can it not be arsed to cover if it can't be arsed to cover the eL? (Well the morris tribunal for fookin starters).

Well, if you read the piece, a few pars above the suggested 'radical surgery' you will see some hand-wringing in defence of those poor, neglected champions of Irish football, Dermot Desmond and John Magnier, who would gladly pour money into the game if only Irish football clubs and players and fans would oblige them by getting out of the way.

Refuse to buy that "newspaper" - you can get a twelve pack of LIDL toilet paper almost as cheap and with much better absorbancy.

Thanks for info in any case - I had in mind the eggball shower who run these bastions of BS and wish to see the policy of self indulgence continue, part of which depends on their grovelling hacks dissing a real world game.

    Cheeky young PUP

Actually, If you MUST know, the LIDL bogpaper is VERY good quality. I'm to admit I've always liked shopping and a trip to LIDL is one of my rare outings these days - cue violins - I can't really remember the price of the bogpaper but the better quality fodge is about the price of an Indo.

Tight fisted?? Of all the nerve I am very generous actually - look at all the time I'm spending on you. LOL
