To be honest I hope any irish club in europe does well (unless its craptown).
Though will have a nice little chuckle to myself if they get knocked out in the first round of the tie.
DAN CONNOR HATES CITY, HE HATES LANGERS
Well seeing as thats your opinion and outlook, there is no point labouring the point to you. Does it really matter how well the league does? depends on who you ask, if you asked a Swiss man in Turkey, probably not, but to all supporters, until I read your post, eliminating you from that group, of the league, it matters very much to them. Its part of the dream to see your league become big time and your club...but it seems a little lost on you.Originally Posted by kdjaC
My girlfriend was frankly confused. She knows I dislike Bohs but when the goal was scored and throughout the game I was egging them on. She just could not understand that. Kinda like our friend, kdjaCOriginally Posted by Drumcondra Red
But then again she doesn't really understand football too well.
When you see how City ended up unseeded in the UEFA Cup and how much it effects what team we'll get in the draw today it shows how important the coefficients are to all EL clubs.
Therefore I hope Shels do well.
I'm what? I'm ants at a picnic?

Would never support another rival club regardless of what it meant to the league win or lose league will still be there and i still be richer every 2nd friday.

Bohs wins in Aberdeen and Kaiserslautern won't count from next year I think, Cork and Shels better hold onto the league's position!
If you believe that then you are very naive.Originally Posted by Gareth

glen crowe moved for a pay cut? is it possible for a shels fan to exist on planet earth?Originally Posted by D2 Red
and i cant wait to see the reception you get in east belfast on the 12th. maybe it will put the phrase 'hooligan' in context for you and you will give over the 'rovers are a satanic cult' garbage.
You think Glen Crowe and Colin Hawkins jumped ship for a pay-cut? No point in arguing with you in that caseOriginally Posted by D2 Red

I would always support any Irish team in Europe, and I think most other Eircom League fans would feel the same way. You only have to look at the support Shels got against Hidjuk and Deportivo last year as an example. A little success in Europe by any Irish club would benefit us all.
all gud to see everyone supportin EL teams in europe!!! need a good attendance for a gud atmosphere in tolka!!

The only thing that stopped me leaping out of the chair in delight when Chukinyere-Ár-Lá scored for the Maltese Hibs against Shels was the fact that I was balancing my dinner on my lap. This year, I'll wait until after full time before making dinner.

Revenge for 2002
I will be a good game and one were we have a chance of progression to the second round for the second time in a row after 37 years without doing so!
Only thing is the match is over the 12th fortnight meaning most people are on holiday to get away from it all or cant change their working hours as staffing is scarce, meaing diminished support for the teams. Some people will also say about the trouble, which is unlikely, but you just dont know!
As for the game, it is a good draw for both teams, so the gaffers will be happy and up here, it is sort of beingh hyped as north champions vs. south champions so it looks like game on and I cant wait.
I'll support any other Eircom League team in Europe except $hels ,I cant stand Ollie or Fenlon, I personally hope they get stuffed!
Come On You Saints!!!
