Yer man Burt looks a real player. He's roasting the dundalk defence, albeit that's a shambles of a defence, to be fair.

Alan Matthews ? Ah, they can have him.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

It's the extra knowledge he picked up on his Pro Licence course back in the day that's making all the difference now.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

Fairly dull 0-0 in the Bowl between UCD and Bray. But given Bray won 3-1 and 2-0 against us last year, that has to count as more progress for us.

    Genuine question :

What is going on in Dundalk ?

Is it simply that the management team are clueless ( the comparison with how Long/Croly have organised a team of decent older players and talented youngsters into a cohesive unit was such a contrast) or is there more to it - some of the established players looked like they were simply going through the motions and some ( Boyle and Shields) look like they’re past it .

Or maybe it’s simply the final throes of a cycle coming to its investable end

PS - I’d say Richie Towell is glad he dodged a bullet

We're just not at it in the final third. All well and good having the possession but not turning that into real chances and goals will see us knocking about the bottom half of the division.

Thought that was a professional and mature performance from pats to show patience and keep knocking on the door until they got the opener. Very poor decision making from Lupano on the second yellow but the game was already one sided in the half hour before that. A depressing performance for the Derry fans to watch I can imagine

Who knows? Dundalk fans = Giovagnoli out! Dundalk board and bonzo bill = man stays
Lucky there's no fans at matches. The guy is guessing it here atm.
PS Have Richie with all his injuries and his fuqing media team.

We dodged a bullet when Mcelenny chose to go to Dundalk . Towell could go either way.

Hard to believe that was the same Dundalk team last night that created and should have scored a bucket of chances last week v Rovers?
Bohs created maybe 6 good scorable chances last night,Cherrie was lucky they weren't on target as he was awful..
Dundalk will eventually put a run together despite their management, but a huge job to restore morale there..
Bohs played for each other last night, a lot of new signings stepped up so hopefully we can kick on now.

Only 14 games to go until we’re crowned champions. That’s how it works now right?
