You almost sound upset over it all Sonny. Its nice that you care about Dundalk and its fans embarrassing themselves but frankly with everything that has and is happening at Dundalk whether the Presidents Cup is counted as a trophy or not does not rank too highly on a scale of what is curranty embarrassing or not!!

How about a compromise The Presidents Cup (not a trophy!!) The Preseason friendly that nobody really cares about (except when when someone calls it a trophy).

But is it a cup or a trophy honestly??? I know cup is in the title but it looks more like a trophy. Maybe we should have a poll...

It's clearly a neither a cup nor a trophy, it's very obviously a bowl (no handles see). Differs from the Belfield bowl in that you'd struggle to play an 11 a side in it.

Can I just point out that ye're arguing about whether it's a trophy or not, and no-one's brought up any Dundalk posters on the notion that they won the last two matches against Rovers when they clearly drew them?

Just an interesting observation is all...

Just to point out, Dundalk won the cup final in extra time. This is recorded as a win. Obviously the Presidents cup was a draw and won on penalties.

Yep - not much good to you in a league game though, hence why I'm surprised no-one has challenged ye on it.

By all means please continue to celebrate the remarkable President's Cup and Malone Cup double. I think Felippo deserves a generous contract extension after that haul!

Whose arguing? Its a calm, reasoned discussion of the upmost importance! Cup, Trophy, or Bowl (there's always some smart ar*e)?! and Its key to the credibility of Dundalk FC and fans.......

Have you settled on them being called 'cups then? Not a bad haul having 2 cups only 2 games in to the season in fairness!

It's both a cup and a trophy. Yeah absolutely I couldn't agree more - get FG locked in to a long-term deal to prevent him being poached in the summer by Samba Soccer!

Here tread carefully with Drogheda United fans, they'd be devastated with this as would their trophy haul!

Off topic, but on this weekends games, we've had a great start, two from two in games I'd have been happy with a point in either, but again, going into this one, I'd happily settle for a point in a ground that's not been too kind to us over the past decade.

    Do try stay on topic....

Harps have looked really good in the opening games so based on that and other results so far I'll go with 4-0 to the Drogs

When Harps win the league they'll need to know what sort of space to make space in the 'trophy' cabinet at the start of 2022!

This is an under the radar huge game imo. (Drogs HArps)
If Harps could win it 9 points from 9 is an unbelievable start , obviously 9 points wont keep you up but a start like that would have you looking up not down for sure.

We'll need to make space on the little coffee table in Finn Park that currently holds the trophies.

This is exactly the time Harps let you down...The bit of expectation has made me convinced we will definitely lose on Saturday. Been supporting Harps long enough to know how it works!
