Good draw in the League Cup!

    Cork v Longford
    Shels v St Pats
    UCD v Waterford
    Derry/Galway v Drogheda

Think it's the best possible draw from our point of view. Bar Galway (who have to get by Derry yet), Waterford are the weakest team in the draw and we have a great record against them too. I can see us putting out a couple more first-teamers, but this is definitely a tie we can win.

Game will be Monday the 4th of July, it looks like.

For risk of jinxing us that is a pleasing draw. Home of course which is great and arguably one of the weakest teams left should Derry get through. Thankfully I'll be around for this one. God bless the League Cup, it's nice to have an extra game in the week. We have a strong reserve defence and good back up strikers. He should play Tony Mac and I reckon we're in with a great shout. Maybe just maybe the alleged Waterford firesale will have began by then.

On the contrary they'd have been delighted with the payday of a visit by Cork.

    Lads,
It's a home game. That's all I'm worried about. I have no idea which team in the draw has the strongest reserves so I can't pass opinions on what the best draw is.

With any luck a few travelling Waterford fans will do their usual, singing on the boys in blue, which will save us the bother.

Unless they're wearing their home kit!
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
