    Did I miss something somewhere.
yes you did conor, as you usually do, its fine for one player to dump tackle another while he has the ball or is in possession, however two players cannot dump tackle a player when he is not in possession of the ball, in this case he was about 10 metres from the ball when he was tackled.

I don't think 2 players are allowed to dump tackle even if he is in possession, but wouldn't be 100% sure.

As I said, I've no problem with McBride, Gibson and Humphries joining a British XV. I just can't understand - and find it a bit embarrassing - that the rugby union (or the provincial ones at least) and the players of a country that refuses to belong to the irrelevant Commonwealth, still entertains the Lions. Sure, it's a free 2 month jolly, but even someone like myself who likes drinking at others expense would turn down this trip. Say what you like about the Golfing brigade, but the Ryder cup reflects the 21st century relationship between Britain and Ireland. About time rugby did the same or stick to picking their own citizens.

Actually I'm not that bothered. All - Ireland side as you point out. No doubt it's an excuse for The German Lady to be played, but then these rugby lads don't seem to have a problem with that on the Lions tours, although I hear they now stand to Born Free or the tune from Clarence the Lion. My own solution re Ireland's call is drop this pile of cheesy sh*te, and play the Sash and the Soldiers Song one after the other (like the South African anthems, order to be dtermined by a toss) and fly both flags. Keep every c*nt happy, including myself.

Oooooh, I love it (i) when the Lions are whipped and (ii) people get real mad/personal about it.
conor, dont get the two confused, supporting irish players and supporting the lions. Also i in no way intimated i was mad about the lions losing, but an irish player getting injured in that way, which could have been a lot worse i do get really annoyed with.

so please next time dont sprout a king edwards from a rooster.
