My brother and his wife are off the fags for nearly 30 years and he says he still gets the occasional pang for a puff and hates when there's a smoky atmosphere as it makes that desire even stronger.
Then again, he chain smoked Sweet Afton/Woodbine and the like in his day.

My beard gets a tiny shade gingerish/reddish (not very noticeable) when exposed to too much sun. It's dark brown usually.
To get back on thread, none of them smoke.

I am usually quite tolerant, but smoking can get me grouchy indeed, my older brother is worse, he told my flatmates who started smoking in their living room to go and smoke outside cos he hates smoke that much, he asked them to leave their flat!!!
