30 minute coverage of Dundalk v Derry, not bad at all, happy enough with it overall.

Yeah I enjoyed that highlights show. Obviously with games off they had to do some filling with more chat on games that were play, but wasnt laboured. Needs some polish which I think will come. To nitpick the host was a little wooden during links probably reading from an autocue, but then relaxed in to it. I think the studio could be a little less budget without breaking a budget - throw in a coffee table lol. It had a fans done magazine show feel which is not a bad thing if tightened up eg slight audio sync issues.

Overall as an opening weekend it wasnt too long ago that we'd have been dreaming of a packed Tolka, 5k at a UCD game, whatever crowd that was in Oriel it looked well attended. Some quality moments in football terms and in difficult conditions. Generally entertaining which is what its about if not always for the purists. UCD and Shels were not as far off opposition as the scorelines suggested. If we can look maintain and chunk this post pandemic surge in interest and attendances it would be super, a real opportunity for the league to push on, showcase to sponsors etc. Crowds do an awful lot to cover the shortcomings in facilities so if we could just get a few more in to Tallaght we'd be laughing!

I signed up to free version of LOI TV but unable to watch it at that time. Has anyone any links to it by any chance as I would love to hear it!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Not bad overall, I thought. The studio looked a bit like it's been done on a shoestring budget (which it probably is), but other than that I thought it was a decent start. Happy to see that the FD is also covered.

How long is the highlights programme? I haven't got around to watching last weeks one so might as well wait till next week after tonight's games to start.

Any word on how this has gone for clubs? Any hope of season passes returning for 2nd half of the season?

Doubt season passes will be back, not financially sustainable . The clubs were getting funding when the was no/limited attendances which help towards streaming costs.

The only way to make LOItv sustainable is with season passes. Shooting themselves in the foot by no offering the option.

Do people watch LoITV as much this season?

I know with games back to full capacity people won't be watching as many home games.

I haven't watched any games this year though - partly because everywhere's not shut on Fridays any more, but also because you'd be less inclined to sign up for one game compared to just logging on with your season ticket

Paid for 2 games so far, going to the games stops it, and other things come up for Friday nights.

My brother is the same. Both of us would have been happy paying 130+ euro for a season pass, but now we won't even spend 50 between us.

5 games, I think, out of City's 8 away games so far.

Clubs were paying for the streaming costs of LOITV last season.

Same here, it's been great and if you are waiting on the national TV station to show it you would have a beard to your foot.

That make no business sense, offering packages that work out at less then €5 per game is just not sustainable for a club. €7 is not overly expensive about half price of attending at game in person and about the price of a pint in Dublin. I accept that times are tough for many in the current climate but no one is forcing you to pay to watch a stream of a LOI game

    Agree 100%.
We were spoilt with the price of the original passes but this was at a time when you couldnt go to games so they were affordable for a reason
