I just noticed this in last Saturday's Echo.

I know that there was inconsistency in the application of whatever policy the JD era FAI was supposed to be following.
After almost two full seasons in charge of Bray, Harry Kenny was 'recalled' by Abbotstown just weeks before the end of the 2018 season (good timing, eh?).
But apparently it was OK for him to return to team management at Pats just a year later.
Who else, if anyone, is or was in a similar situation to Kenny and Stuart Ashton?
FAI staff 'working' with LoI clubs, Im sure there could be the odd coach but cant think of managers (though at Dundalk we would just not call them managers so we'd be fine). Maybe Hill is ushering out the wink and nod culture that was/is in Abbotstown. That said, if a club is semi pro or an amateur club that pays coaches, needs a pro license holder etc. It could narrow the number of qualified coaches that some clubs could appoint!?
