In one way it's hard to take a defeat like that when Ramblers were by far the better team on the night, I didn't have any gripe with the penalty or red (though many said that Falvey won the ball?) but the ref bottled it by not sending off their No.4 for a terrible two footed tackle on Mikey O'Shea.
To add insult to injury No.4 took the penalty.
The pleasing points were the form of Davin and Mikey, they skinned the Waterford backs for pace on several occasions, what little James McCarthy had to do he did very well.
At least we were spared a bad draw in the next round. U.C.D away.
