Personally, I've no idea where things are going wrong. Useless defending? Certainly some of the goals conceded of late have been schoolboy stuff. Not having a settled back four doesn't help. Individually they've not been playing too bad, but as a unit they need to get back to basics.Strikers not taking chances? Certainly. Jayo's been off form. Crowe has not managed to find the rhythm of the team. O'Neill and Fitzpatrick work hard but their returns in front of goal are pure. Also our midfield has been very slow getting up to support them. Injuries? Well, not being able to put out a settled team week in, week out hasn't helped. And we've been more sinned against than sinning in the so-called "Shels thugs" area. Bad luck? The ball crossed the line against Rovers according to Setanta - swings and roundabouts for Jamie's goal against Cork - inspired goalkeeping also plays its part.
And of course, we're the champions and had so much publicity last year that everyone wants to knock us off our pedestal. Fair enough.
Probably a combination of all the above imo.
