Just logged in to check. It doesn't say that I've paid.
Interestingly, my purchase history is also empty (I had a subscription through my season ticket last year).

I sent them a message through the site earlier querying it and and got an email back saying they’d cancelled the 2020 subscription and I’d have to subscribe again for 2021. I checked the watchloi site then and the package had changed from Paid to Buy.

It looks as if they're going to have to do that with everyone at this rate.

Unfortunately it's not an app so needs to be run in browser.

As Nigel said, needs to be run on a web browser but can then be played through an Apple TV via Airplay from an iPhone, iPad or MacBook.

You can use it on the browser on a Firestick. Bit finicky to set up but great to watch on a TV without the wires and laptops etc.

What are peoples thoughts after tonight?

For me it's still disappointing. No replays, picture funny at times and loss of sound.

Thought Dundalk did a much better job for the game against Bohs.

Good quality picture and decent commentary but as we know the cameras aren't all like that and the commentary gets a lot worse.

Going to be hard to entice the neutrals with the bare minimum production.

I bought the season pass and tonight was my first time watching. It's what I expected an RTE/FAI product to be really.
I'm expecting even less from LOITV with the AI cameras

Actually I take that back. I've just seen LOITV's highlights of tonight's match and it looks good

Technical issues can happen as it did with the sound. Not the first time that a downpour in tallaght has adversely affected a broadcast but they sorted it out. Not getting replays of key moments was a bit lazy. Commentary was grand but they too were missing replays.

You think for the first game of the season, one that is free to attract more viewers, they would have put a bit more effort in.

No pre-match anticipation, the camera was just left on an empty pitch for half time, no replays, commentary was so dour, single camera....

Such a half-arsed effort. Really dissapointing. Local production (such as Dundalks and Droghedas, the two I watched) were miles better.

Drogheda's stream looked like it was on a phone and they still managed replays.

Overall I though it was very disappointing, I've spent the last week on youtube going through MNS montage footage as they were mentioned on this thread recently, some were absolutely excellent. Would have been no harm in doing one to show before the match and during half time. It surely isn't that expensive. More annoyingly FAI will probably have one circulating during the week for promotion which really should have been ready for last night.

Anyways what I think will happen is that once the GaaGo is required in the summer then that's the end of current format and premier division games will be moved to the LOITV format. Hence only the half season passes.

Its funny how the retrospective views on MNS are generally positive as at the time it got a lot of criticism - is it a highlights or football magazine show, cant be both, highlights too short, no 1st Div highlights, gimmick sections taking up time that should be given to analysis, more detailed highlights etc. Pundits often slated and there was plenty of variety. terrible commentary on highlights with players names often being wrong. I liked it as it packaged a pretty limited product in an entertaining way - a similar show now would have more to work with.

I'm sure I read a quote somewhere that the FAI had a budget in place to promote the League. I saw the first TV ad this evening, a whole 24 hours before kick off.
The new FAI are just great.

Looking forward to the Drogs v Waterford match tomorrow to kick things off. It shouldn’t be taken taken for granted that we have a league to follow this season , the pandemic did away with the national league north/south in England this season for example.

I agree with your sentiment, but what happened to the National League in England was complicated. Almost half the season was played, and then clubs were given the option of individually continuing on with games if they wanted - before everyone realised after a week or two that that was just pointless. There was huge internal wrangling within the game before that point. So it wasn't a straightforward 'Covid cancelled Conference North/South' thing.
