Nah, suspensions are competition specific, aren't they? Wouldn't go by what RTÉ say anyway.
.. all players sent off in EL competition now serve their automatic one-game suspension in their next domestic game. The FAI / EL have implemented this rule in the past month.
Of course, players may be suspended for a further duration if their "crime" merits. Telling a referee he's a joke (Alan Kelly) merits an automatic sending-off and suspension. Punching a player in the face when he attempts to shake your hand (Alan Reynolds) is permitted, as long as the referee is in the shower at the time.

He gave one of our players a push in the back and sent him into the advertising hoardings; those nearer the incident said it was probably more a punch than a push. Was amazed to see the red myself, but in fairness to the ref, he was right up with play and had no hesitation.

Murphy, Molloy, Mooney, Daniel, Gavin, Phillips, O'Halloran, Caffrey - not far off full-strength. We'd five players with no first-team experience and another four with just 30 games between them!
