that was debunked straight after the game. and it makes sense, it was when he was seconds from coming on the pitch that he was pictured, not when he was sitting on the bench
The Serie C move seems weird. The Athletic reported last month that he had 4 offers from league 1 teams and 2 offers from championship sides. you'd wonder what he agent is up to...
It would be a strange move alright when you consider he done alright for the minutes he got in the championship. While it was short lived it seemed more that Russell Martin wasn't pleased with how he performed when out of possession and some Swansea fans felt he should have got more minutes.
Like if the Athletic were right and there was some offers from EFL teams then you'd think they'd get better offers in Europe than dropping down to Serie C if that rumour is true. Just looking at Serie C and see Juventus have a reserve team in Serie C Group A. Surprised neither of the Milan teams have a reserve team since Serie C is regionalised.
He has signed for FC Zurich. They shared this video...

Its really not that complicated!!!
Is he the first Irish player in the Swiss Super League since Don Givens?
Connor Ronan did play in the first division with grasshoppers
Good move, has a great chance of playing regularly which he badly needs since he's 21 and has very few games under hits belt. Would rather Hefferman and Zeffi made a move similar to this than joining Newcastle and spending a few years playing youth football.
They are currently top of the Swiss Super League so I'm sure he won't walk into team but if he gets playing it could be an excellent move, certainly better than Serie C where he was linked
Its really not that complicated!!!
Got his first minutes in Switzerland today, in the cup, scored the third in a 0-3 win & played the 90. Think it was against a lower division club.
Seems like the equivalent of a meaningless league cup game in England when many of the reserves get a run out. I reviewed their forum using Google translate. Looks like he was fairly anonymous, apart from goal. FC Zurich are top of the league, would be a welcome surprise if okoflex established himself there. But he has done nothing to convince us that he will thus far in his career
Goals are on YouTube. Okoflex's finish is at 2:20
Hard to tell what actually happens, the camera hasn't quite caught up with the play when he scores
He has been getting bits & scraps at the very end of games in the league since his Cup goal the other week, but he got subbed on with fifteen to play today and got his first league goal within ten minutes. Zurich won, scored four & are top of the Swiss league.
