Correct, Wigan mentioned in their statement that they made efforts to try and retain him and the other lad that opted to terminate their contracts over several breaches of contract by the club with unpaid wages

As a free agent I wonder will he attract the interest of a Championship club. I know it didn't work at Wigan but he's shown there's a half decent player in him at times in Scotland and internationally

Has been linked to Hearts for a while but they seem like a bit of a basket case at the moment, so possibly not the best move for him. He needs to find somewhere he can settle and play week in week out at a decent level.
