    Crucial test on Friday

In a desperate attempt to get peoples minds back on track, and geared up for the teams biggest game of the season to date...I wonder what lies ahead.I figure we'll win 2-1, although it will be difficult without McGauley and Carthy(not sure how his injury is yet).Paul Tobin is out for a while with his injury, so we're going to be up against it.

Donnellan and Kelleher to win it for the blues...

Well if its gonna be anyone it'll probably be one of those 2.

It would be nice to have Derek available as well but I guess injuries are part and parcell of the game & it will be a test to see how we cope without Derek & Thomas McGauley.

Hopefully the cup defeats won't upset our great league form.

It would be a massive win.

Derek suffered a groin strain at the Drogheda match so he could be out for a while, it depends on how bad it is really. As for McGauley while he'll be missed I thought Conor Molan had an excellent game against Drogheda and will fill in quite well for Thomas. Or you never know, Young could start at left back and Conor in the centre of midfield. Its a shame Brendan is gone he might have started the match, it would have being a great opportunity for him. I think Rossi should get a go at some stage, Nolan and Kearns so far have not been a success on the right wing. I think we can win but only if we stop Sligo attacking down the wings, if we do that then they run out of ideas and should be no threat.
Limerick 37, its so shiny and new we dare not take the cover off.

    Kerins is gone

well with Hughes and Kerins gone it looks like Nolan will retain his place n the right. Id go for Mooney, O'Mahoney, Wolfe, Finni, Aherne, Donellen, Barrett, Molem. Young, O'Brien and Kellegher.
Rossi, Harnett, Lynch, Kupec and Healy on the bench.
Cut out the crosses and you'll get the better of Sligo.

If we have a full squad to choose from then I think we'll win it 2-1 or 3-2 . We need Liam Burns back in the centre of defence, if he's back alongside McNamara, then ye'll have a tough time trying to score, .

There's also five main players rested for tonight so they should be fit and well for the Lims match .

JJ played tonight...didn't look too impressive. Malahide are well schooled for a junior side, and have a decent set-up. It was a tough slog for Sligo and they won't fancy aother long journey...especially the six regulars who had to go thru a tough 120 mins....Friday will be their third tough game in 6 days...bring it on!!

Agree with most of that. I'd put Hartnett in instead of Molan. That is a like for like change - funny how this team seems to have more shape than the ones when everyone is fully fit.

Its also great that, unlike last year, we can lose 4 good players and still manage to select 16 players!
