Hi new to the site just wondering how come no A.U.L teams down be in the FAI cup are only lsl teams and other senoir league teams from through out the country allowed in?

The semi-finallists of the FAI Junior Cup and last 16 of the FAI Intermediate Cup qualify for the 1st round of the FAI Cup. The winners of these 10 ties go into the 2nd round draw with all the EL teams.

No Dublin AUL clubs qualified for the FAI Junior cup semi-finals. Most decent players in Dublin now play in intermediate league although there still quite a few decent players in the AUL premier division, but – with international representation at Inter level – for how long.

A.U.L players also get picked for the international team and at one stage it was only A.U.L players who did get picked although this was a stupid idea whoever thought it because the standard is much better in L.S.L
