Ya I think if rovers don't make it they'll be letting the rest of the teams in Europe and the league itself down.
    I'm a bloke,I'm an ocker
And I really love your knockers,I'm a labourer by day,
I **** up all me pay,Watching footy on TV,
Just feed me more VB,Just pour my beer,And get my smokes, And go away

Bucko was dead on his feet on around 55 minutes but didn’t even get subbed. I couldn’t understand it.

That said, unbelievable result and despite the weary legs, the subs helped and the end of the game was hilarious, we were so composed and really made mugs of them in the injury time. They didn’t barely leave their half for the last few mins of injury time. One of the great European results for an Irish team.
Ya I'd sorta forgotten it was Tuesday too and just after a Thursday game 😁 but in general I'd expect game time in Europe to stand to them more

Would need to be seen again but first impression on the foul on Kelly at the end it looked like a forearm was up in the face. Not so much a bought free or experience. Ward on a little earlier to put a foot on the ball and ping a dangerous pass in might have settled a few nerves earlier.

Agreed. Levo for Buckley and Wardy for Devoy would have been my changes with 30 mins to go.

Could be right about the peno but it looked dodgy enough to me on first sight.

If Pineapple Stu is around tonight, I thought you should know about the following tweet:

How do you mean? That more European football would make them less tired?

The context I wanted to share with you was that the legginess out there tonight was significantly attributable to the culmination of a lot of game time in the league and Europe for a small group of players. Not an issue of summer football not standing to us or a lack of conditioning which your posts seemed to imply.

Yeah! I cant see PAOK being beaten next week. They'll be sharper and want to make a point. I wouldnt totally rule out Bohs but they've made a mark, ruffled some Greek feathers. Be interesting to see what their rivals are saying! Never bothered to look at PAOK's full name before but its impressive in itself - Panthessaloníkios Athlitikós Ómilos Konstadinoupolitón - I'd have been beaten before a game seeing that name on a scoreboard but in fairness they've come on well since 2011/12!

Playing a resurgent Waterford this weekend wont be a help to Bohs.

3 or 4 nil for PAOK next week. Maybe 5 if they're arsed.

Anyone have that video of the paok board and fans celebrating their 80th anniversary. Gives you a fair idea of the size and love for their club

That is some result by Bohs. Enjoy it for sure but without trying to pour too much old water on it , well it means nothing unless it can be backed up in 2nd leg. Similar to when we beat Rosenberg away in 1st leg, that was a top result but soon forgotten when they knocked us out in 2 nd leg.

You know, I was going to mention Sligo-Rosenborg earlier but forgot in the excitement. That Sligo result was difficult to take as a neutral, as I seem to recall them throwing it away a bit. A cautionary tale for Bohs nonetheless, but tonight is also about celebrating one of the better individual LOI Euro results that many of us have seen.

it's actually a great point (redobit). savage result by sligo but they were put in their box once rosenborg realised what was going on. great effort nonetheless. de bowez aren't half what that sligo team were.

So what? Tonight’s Bohs win against PAOK still a performance and result to be savoured! Cheer up! LOL.

Go easy, Drogs have had of plenty European pedigree to know all about it, from the Gartland peno specialist to that Hughes sitter and Robinson running the line to almost bury Kiev...

The negativity from some quarters re this result seems to be the gritted teeth "Well done bohs (hope you get a hammering)" variety.
Yes, next week will be a different affair, but there is a chance. A chance not many would have given coming into this match. I was nervous as f*** before the match. Regardless of the result next week that was another special night in for our club... and with this bunch of players who knows. All it would take is a chance converted to change the complexion of the tie in Greece.

Not too many well dones from certain quarters , but a lot of genuine positive remarks from most LOI fans

To actually watch live quality football in Lansdowne after many years of international dross is reward In itself. To have your local team you have supported from childhood play with that intensity and skill on the big stage is a bit special.
I did spot PC's PAOK mates bearing gifts for him , I will say yassu to them when I am in Salonoki next week.

Last night's result won't be forgotten by Bohs fans. I can't really speak for Sligo/Rosenberg but if the 1st leg win was at home and pretty much every Sligo fan was at it I assume it would be spoken about more. Have to be honest I'm in total dreamland. Like everyone here I haven't been able to go to games for a year and a half and have found that horrible. To think that the last few weeks is what was waiting for us as football fans when we came back is just so amazing and hard to wrap my head around. Last night was one of those rare beautiful moments you get as a football fan.

I expect we'll probably still get knocked out. Last night felt like a little taste of what it feels like to win a group game - maybe also because it was in Lansdowne. It was our 5th European game of the season so it feels like a proper European campaign.

Kyiv were much better then to be fair then than now, or p_stu might point out revisionism on my part, they seemed to be getting to CL group stages then but I think this PAOK one is bigger and certainly bigger than the Sligo Rosenberg game, even though again Rosenberg were CL regulars in the mid 00s well before Sligo played them.

I think it was the manner of the performance, especially the first 50-55 mins where Bohs just matched them and outplayed them for spells in that period. Ya its definitely the best I have seen, and I have watched a lot at this stage!

Yeah nice little taster, but ye have to just take the word of us Dundalk fans for now
